The Good Wife
CBS’ The Good Wife focuses on Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies), who resumes her law career following the arrest of her husband, Peter (Chris Noth), an Illinois State Attorney, for corruption and a highly publicized sex scandal.
After 13 years as a stay-at-home mom, Alicia returns as a litigator at the law firm Stern, Lockhart & Gardner to provide for her two children: Zach (Graham Phillips) and Grace (Makenzie Vega). She is joined by colleagues Cary Agos (Matt Czuchry), Kalinda Sharma (Archie Panjabi), Will Gardner (Josh Charles) and Diane Lockhard (Christine Baranski).
The Good Wife aired for seven seasons from 2009 to 2016. Panjabi won an Emmy Award in 2010 for Outstanding Supporting Actress, while Margulies won in 2011 and 2014 for Outstanding Lead Actress. Margulies also earned a Golden Globe Award in 2009 for Best Actress. A spinoff series titled The Good Fight aired from 2021 to 2022.
