Let’s be honest. How many of us wear sunscreen every single day? So many people think sunscreen is reserved solely for beach trips, pool parties and festivals while others think they don’t need it at all. That’s not true! We all need sunscreen, and we should be wearing it every day. Yes, even in the winter! If we can see and feel the sun, we need to protect our skin. But all sunscreen is thick and goopy and smelly, right? Wrong.

Don’t think of SkinCeuticals’ Physical Fusion UV Defense sunscreen in the same category as the Banana Boat or Coppertone we wore in our youth. Think of it more as an anti-aging, skin-clearing elixir. It’s actually one of the biggest secrets of sunscreen skincare and beauty lovers everywhere, including beautiful celebrities with enviable skin like actress Lucy Hale!

Hale once told Us that she specifically loves this tinted sunscreen because she likes a “bronzy, glowy look” that doesn’t conceal her skin, but brings out all of its best qualities instead. She tends to use the matte version of the product, finding it works especially well with her oily skin!

Shoppers are also feeling the love and seeing results from using this sunscreen. One called it “the best sunscreen on the planet” while another said they “absolutely adore it,” saying they use it in place of foundation, which has kept their acne-prone skin much clearer. Multiple people said this product was recommended to them by a dermatologist or esthetician, and it’s the best they’ve used. One said they had tried “lots of supermarket creams but nothing helped until [they] met SkinCeuticals.” Others commented on how there’s “no bad smell,” which is a huge plus, and that it won’t leave our skin with a greasy feeling, which is an even bigger plus!

This is a physical sunscreen, made with titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, as opposed to a chemical one. What’s the difference? Chemical sunscreen is made to absorb into our skin to provide protection, but physical sunblocks actually sit on top of the skin to reflect the sun’s rays away. Don’t freak out when we say it sits on top of the skin! It’s not like we’re going to be walking around wearing a ghostly-white mask all day. It still absorbs and may leave us with a flawless finish with zero white cast!

This sunscreen is SPF 50 and claims to provide broad-spectrum sun protection. This means it may not only protect us from turning into burnt tomatoes, but help us target pigmentation and aging concerns, too! It’s good to get some sun every once in a while, but we’re going to be sorry in the short and long term if we don’t protect our skin.

This sunscreen also claims to be water-resistant for up to 40 minutes, so if we are swimming a few laps or competing in a cannonball contest, we’re covered! It’s a lightweight formula that claims to glide on smoothly and leave us with no oily residue, so there shouldn’t be any weird mix of oil and water clashing!

One of the most special parts of this sunscreen is that it’s tinted! It’s a universal tint, so we don’t need to worry about trying to find the shade that will fit us best. It also means that even when we’re going makeup-free, we’re still going to be able to achieve that smoothing glow and radiance we look for from our other beauty products.

This product is specifically recommended for those with dry, combo, sensitive or normal skin. If we’re worried about oil, we can try the matte version like Hale! To apply it, we must remember to shake the bottle up first for even ingredient distribution. We can then apply to our face, neck and chest if it’s exposed to the sun (even if we’re inside). Remember to reapply throughout the day, especially after taking a dip or breaking a sweat!

We’re seriously going to thank ourselves for using this paraben-free formula when we’re older, and also now, too! We’re not going to take an everyday glow for granted, and the longer it lasts, the better, so always apply that sunscreen! Always!
