Senator Chuck Schumer and House Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries have responded to another AI image shared by President Donald Trump’s White House.

On Tuesday, May 5, the official White House X account shared an AI photo featuring Schumer, 75, and Jeffries, 55, wearing sombreros and drinking margaritas near the United States–Mexico border. As part of the AI image, fake Schumer and Jeffries were seen smiling in front of a faux sign that said, “I love illegal immigrants.”

“Happy Cinco de Mayo to all who celebrate!” the White House wrote via X on Tuesday.

Schumer responded with his own image of Trump, 79, posing next to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. While the OG image is real, it was doctored to show both men wearing sombreros.

“Happy Cinco de Mayo, @WhiteHouse!” Schumer captioned the X post. House Minority Leader Jeffreies seemingly approved of the message when he shared his colleague’s photo on his own profile.

In recent months, Donald and his wife, Melania Trump, have made headlines for their alleged connections to Epstein, who died by suicide while awaiting trial on child sex trafficking charges.

In a statement to the press on April 9, the first lady denied any friendship with the convicted sex trafficker.

“[The rumors] with the disgraceful Jeffrey Epstein need to end today,” Melania, 56, said. “Donald and I were invited to many of the same parties as Epstein from time to time. Since overlapping in social circles is common in New York City and Palm Beach. To be clear, I never had a relationship with Epstein or his accomplice [Ghislaine] Maxwell.”

Epstein was arrested in July 2019 on federal charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy to traffic minors. He pleaded not guilty prior to his death. Nearly seven years later, the United States Justice Department released a series of documents pertaining to the FBI’s investigation into Epstein after Congress passed the Epstein Files Transparency Act in November 2025.

The president has consistently denied having a close relationship with Epstein despite his name appearing multiple times in the so-called Epstein files — including a lewd birthday card signed by the president to Epstein — numerous photos of the pair together in the 90s and early aughts and flight logs showing that the president flew on Epstein’s Jet.

The commander-in-chief has repeatedly denied having any knowledge of his crimes, claiming he had a falling out with Epstein more than two decades ago.

The latest AI photos coming from the White House and leaders of the Democratic party come as the United States Congress faces low public confidence, with approval ratings sinking anywhere from 10 to 15 percent in recent Gallup polling.

As for Donald, the latest Washington Post-ABC News-Ipsos poll showed the president’s disapproval rating hit 62 percent, an all-time high from the survey’s history throughout both of his terms in office.
