The fit star has been a yoga devotee for years. But while Hudgens tells Us she loves yoga “for the physicality of it,” she confesses another aspect of the practice is even more important to her: “Just for the mental health of it,” she says. “I feel like it's just so nice to be able to Zen out and check in with yourself and hear your breath. Throughout the day we don't breathe enough, so it's a nice way to check back in.”
Recently, the yoga expert has taken to Instagram to share mini-workouts with her followers including quick stretch routines, booty-tightening lunge sequences and no-crunch ab workouts. “Take five minutes, 10 minutes … and little by little your body gets stronger,” the Living Clearly Method author tells Us Weekly. “Your body just starts to convert and you're capable of more energy being put into longer workouts.”
“We do a lot of back — and chest presses,” Rise Nation founder Jason Walsh, who has been training the Glow actress for six years tells Us. "Everybody does more work on the front side — the mirror side — which is unfortunate because if you do more back work, you see bigger improvements on the front side as well — it keeps the body balanced.”
The Revenge Body star knows that staying committed to a fitness routine is crucial to see results. The 34-year-old told fans on her app in July 2018, “[I want to] get back to my regular routine from before I got pregnant, which was work out five to six times a week.” And as her longtime trainer Gunnar Peterson tells Us. “She gets the blueprint. She gets the template. She was with me for years, nonstop, every single day.”
The Deep Water Horizon actress is known to love Pilates, yoga and dance-based workouts. Trainer Jason Wimberly, who has worked out with the Fabletics creator in the past, tells Us, “Even if we’re using weights, we sort of move to the rhythm and we work in different ways, we add a plie or whatever it was. Kate loves to dance, so we sort of dance mixed it in with weights.”
“Our workouts are a mix of strength training and cardio,” Body By Simone creator Simone De La Rue, who has trained the Peppermint actress for four years, tells Us. “My method is dance-based so we get our cardio fix by dancing or trampoline cardio. I always make the workouts fun and joyful and we don’t take ourselves too seriously but don’t get me wrong, our workouts are killer and effective.”
The Christina on the Coast star reveals that she often hits up Orangetheory, an interval class that combines cardio and strength training. “I feel like you get a really good workout in an hour and I notice the biggest results from that,” the HGTV star tells Us of the 60-minute class. She also makes working up a sweat a priority: “I work out five days a week.”
“We’re doing a lot of planks, side planks and we do this medicine ball toss while holding a lunge so we’re monopolizing the room,” David Kirsch, fitness and wellness curator at CORE: Club in NYC, tells Us of the Shades of Blue star’s go-to moves. “The workouts are my express workouts. There is no rest, there is no, we’ll grab a quick breath chatting in between, but that’s how we do it. Her workouts are very high energy.”
“I really like working with these inexpensive bands because they require the use of my own body weight,” the Oscar winner shared via Instagram in July 2018 of her love of utilizing resistance bands in her fitness routine. “I want to build strength while staying long and lean. I never want to bulk up so I rarely use traditional weights.”
“Switching up my workout routine in the gym as I get ready for the #PieceOfMe Tour!!” the Grammy winner wrote on Instagram in April 2018 along with a video of herself powering through an intense workout that included resistance-band leg lifts, kettlebell squats and more. The singer has also joined in on the treadmill class Precision Running at Equinox in Westlake Village, California. “She definitely enjoyed the class and the benefits. She’s a great runner,” class creator David Siik tells Us.
“Carrie works out hard. Carrie is disciplined,” Nashville-based trainer Erin Oprea tells Us. “Carrie does weight training of all different variations — and lunges and squats.” The five-foot-three Grammy winner also makes sure her arms are supersculpted. “I used to curl 8 pounds, now I’ve been curling 20!” the Cry Pretty singer tells Us of her six-days-a week 90-minute workouts, which include shoulder presses, dumbbell rows and pullups.
The secret to the America’s Got Talent judge age defying physique: “I have this round circle, I actually saw it on QVC,” Klum tells Us. “You can kind of work on your thighs a little bit, but you can also use it for your arms and you can squish it in so that’s supposed to be good for your chest, for your breasts, to keep them up and perky.”
“For strength training, I’m all about using your own body weight or smaller weights, three or five-pound weights, and doing ankle and wrist weights,” the five-foot-three Dancing With the Stars alum shares with Us. “I am a big believer in doing lots of reps. I think that creates a lean, strong body. For me, I like to have flexibility and mobility.”
“When she’s in town, she’s five to six days a week and she’s no joke,” Beverly Hills celebrity trainer Gunnar Peterson tells Us of the actress’ fitness oriented mindset. “I mean, she’s definitely a do-your-own sets, do-your-own stunts kind of girl. She gets through it. She can do it with a poker face. But she is working.”
The Colombian singer is a devotee of celebrity trainer Anna Kaiser’s AKT dance cardio and strength training sweat sessions. “We focused on leaning out, strengthening her core and boosting her booty — and then toning her arms like crazy,” Kaiser, who worked out with the Grammy winner five days a week leading up to her El Dorado world tour, tells Us.
