Michael Keaton

Michael Keaton’s television debut was in 1975’s Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood. He continued to guest star on TV shows including The Mary Tyler Moore Hour and Working Stiffs with Jim Belushi. Working Stiffs showcased his comedic talent which led to his first breakout role in 1982’s Night Shift. He continued to star in comedies such as 1983’s Mr. Mom, 1984’s Johnny Dangerously, 1988’s Beetlejuice and 1989’s The Dream Team.

In 1989, Keaton landed the titular superhero in 1989’s Batman and received widespread critical acclaim. He reprised the role in 1992’s Batman Returns and 2023’s The Flash. Aside from playing the Caped Crusader, Keaton starred in several popular ‘90s films including 1993’s Much Ado About Nothing, 1997’s Jackie Brown and 1998’s Jack Frost. He lent his voice to many popular animated films as well, such as 2006’s Cars, 2010’s Toy Story 3 and 2015’s Minions.

Keaton had another career resurgence amid his acclaimed performance as Riggan Thomson in 2014’s Birdman, which earned him the Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Musical or Comedy and an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor. Since then, the actor has appeared in movies such as 2015’s Spotlight, 2016’s The Founder, 2017’s Spider-Man: Homecoming, 2020’s The Trial of the Chicago 7, 2023’s Knox Goes Away and 2024’s Beetlejuice Beetlejuice. Keaton also had a role in 2021’s Dopesick, which earned him an Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Actor.

The actor tied the knot with Caroline McWilliams in 1982 and welcomed son Sean in 1983. The twosome split in 1990, and Keaton moved on with Courteney Cox from 1990 to 1995. In 2016, Keaton began dating Marni Turner.
