Grant Gustin

Grant Gustin (born Thomas Grant Gustin) is an actor and singer best known for his role as Barry Allen in The CW’s The Flash and for his breakout role as Sebastian Smythe on Glee. Born in Norfolk, Virginia, he attended the Governor’s School for the Arts and graduated from Granby High School. He later studied musical theater at Elon University in North Carolina for two years before leaving to pursue acting full-time.

Gustin got his start in theater, touring with West Side Story as Baby John. He gained national attention in 2011 when he was cast on Glee, appearing in seasons 3 through 5. In 2013, he was cast as Barry Allen on Arrow, which led to the launch of The Flash in 2014. The series ran for nine seasons and earned Gustin widespread recognition. Throughout his career, he also starred on episodes of 90210, Supergirl and DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and has appeared in films like Rescued by Ruby (2022) and Puppy Love (2023).

Gustin married physical therapist Andrea “LA” Thoma in December 2018. The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Juniper, in 2021, and they welcomed their second child, son Arthur, in 2024.
