Dennis Rodman

Dennis Rodman is a former NBA star, television personality and actor. Rodman was raised in Dallas, where he graduated from South Oak Cliff High School and later attended Cooke County College. After transferring to Southeastern Oklahoma State University, where he played basketball and emerged as a standout player, earning an invite to the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament. His performance at the camp helped him catch the attention of the Detroit Pistons.

Rodman began his professional career with the Detroit Pistons, where he became a key part of the team’s “Bad Boys” era and won back-to-back NBA championships in 1989 and 1990. Known for his strong defensive presence, Rodman later played for the San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers and Dallas Mavericks. During his time with the Bulls alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen he won three additional NBA championships from 1996 to 1998. Rodman was named NBA Defensive Player of the Year twice and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2011.

Outside basketball, Rodman appeared on shows The Apprentice and Celebrity Big Brother and in the film Double Team (1997). He has also published multiple books, including his autobiography Bad As I Wanna Be (1997), and became known for his friendship with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Rodman was romantically linked to Madonna in the 1990s and was married to Annie Bakes from 1992 to 1993. He then wed Carmen Electra from 1998 to 1999 and Michelle Moyer from 2003 to 2012. He has three children: daughter Alexis (born in 1988), son DJ (born in 2001) and daughter Trinity (born in 2002). In 2022, he began dating rapper Yella Yella.
