Bruce Willis

Bruce Willis is an American actor known for his roles in action films, particularly as John McClane in the Die Hard franchise. Willis was born in West Germany and raised in New Jersey after his family relocated to the United States. He attended Montclair State University, where he studied drama before leaving to pursue acting in New York City. He worked various jobs while auditioning, including as a bartender, before landing early stage and television roles.

Willis rose to fame in the 1980s with his starring role opposite Cybil Shepherd on the TV series Moonlighting, which earned him both an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe. His transition to film was cemented with Die Hard (1988), which established him as a leading action star. He went on to headline a string of box office hits throughout the 1990s and 2000s.
His notable credits include Pulp Fiction (1994), Armageddon (1998), The Sixth Sense (1999), Unbreakable (2000) and the Die Hard sequels.

Throughout the 2000s, he has appeared in projects including Sin City (2005), 16 Blocks (2006) and Death Wish (2018). In 2022, his family announced he would step away from acting following an aphasia diagnosis, later revealing he had frontotemporal dementia.

Willis was married to Demi Moore from 1987 to 2000. The former couple share three daughters: Rumer Willis (born in 1988), Scout Willis (born in 1991) and Tallulah Willis (born in 1994). He went on to marry Emma Heming Willis in 2009, and they have two daughters: Mabel Ray Willis (born in 2012) and Evelyn Penn Willis (born in 2014).
