Ashanti (real name Ashanti Shequoiya Douglas-Haynes) is an award-winning singer and actress who has released six albums over the years. She’s also known for her famed role as Heather in the 2006 movie John Tucker Must Die. After an up and down relationship with Nelly, Us Weekly confirmed in June 2024 that the couple had privately tied the knot six months prior in St. Louis. Before their nuptials, Ashanti announced that she and Nelly were gearing up to welcome their first baby together. She gave birth to son Kareem Kenkaide in July 2024.
