
Andrew Rannells
Andrew Rannells is a Grammy-winning singer, actor, Broadway performer and voice actor. Rannells got his big break as Elder Price in the Broadway show The Book of Mormon, which earned him a Tony nomination in 2011.
After graduating from Creighton Preparatory School in Nebraska, Rannells moved to New York City in 1996 and attended Marymount Manhattan College for two years before deciding to pursue acting full-time.
He made his Broadway debut in 2005 as an understudy in Hairspray. Some of Rannells’ Broadway credits include Falsettos, The Boys in the Band and Gutenberg! The Musical, but his role in The Book of Mormon was widely considered his breakout role.
In addition to theater, Rannells has many movie and TV credits. He played Elijah Krantz on Lena Dunham’s HBO drama series, Girls, from 2012 to 2017. Rannells also starred as Blair Pfaff in the Showtime historical dark comedy, Black Monday. He has also starred in big screen projects such as The Intern (2015), The Boys in the Band (2020) and Another Simple Favor (2025).
He has been in a relationship with fellow actor, Charles Curtis “Tuc” Watkins III, 58, since 2019. The two met in 2018 while working on Broadway’s The Boys in the Band.
