Maybe lynn Spears is just so happy that she is "someone". She must think about her money first rather than parenting her kids. Lynn Spears has bad mother all over her face. I have just one thing to say... LEAVE THEIR FAMILY ALONE!! (or atleast Brittany and Jamie-Lynn) I'm so tired of everyone talking about Brittany and Jamie-Lynn! They had a horrible mother... any mother that is more concerned with fame and fortune than both of her daughters is trash in my book. Lynn has tried all of Brittany's life to make money off of her daughters name; therefore, neglecting Jamie-Lynn. Who wouldn't turn to comfort from a man, especially with the type of father Jamie-Lynn had? or a mother, because she was too busy promoting Brittany. WHERE ARE YOUR PRIORITIES???? OH, wait, I know, MONEY, MONEY, MONEY, FAME, FAME, FAME!!! Every girl needs a father figure to help guide and direct that child. It's no ones fault, but the parents for raising their children in the way they have!!! I think that there seems to be a problem with parenting and what is right and wrong in the family as a whole. Too much blame being thrown in all directions. Hollywood messed up Britney? Just Hollywood? then why are there young starlets that are not getting pregnant and acting like horrible mothers and members of society? Many young actors and actresses are not causing problems, partying all the time, driving drunk, doing drugs, etc.

Lynne Spears as any parent have a large influence on their childrens lives..BUT... the children like hers develop minds of their own and make decisions wisely and not so wise. JL having a baby at 16? Well more power to her if she can show the media and world that she will overcome any obstacles that may arise. 1. Birth control and protection against HIV ARE taught in many of our public schools.

2. Also, birth control is readily dispensed in many public schools here in America.

3. Abstinence is the only 100% way of ensuring you don't get pregnant or contract an STI. What is so wrong with teaching that in addition to everything else that is taught in sex ed class?

This news about J.L.S has really taken me by storm. I have a 7 year old daughter and 10 year old son who watched Zoey 101 on a regular basis. It was one of my daughter’s favorite shows. Now I’ve had to have a talk with my children that I thought I would not have for a few years. I had to explain to my 7 year old daughter that this CHILD is pregnant with a CHILD and that this is not something that is expectable. I told my baby....this BABY is having a BABY and it is not something that a 16 year old should be doing. My daughter is still so young but my son who is 10 said to me "that is sad she is just a kid", and he is so right. Lynn Spears is responsible for her children and I am responsible for mine. Therefore my children will no longer be allowed to watch Zoey 101. And to make sure that they are not watching it, I have blocked Nick from all televisions in our home. I have fully explained to my children why they will no longer be allowed to view this network or television show. This is my personal choice because I will not allow my children to watch a show where the lead actress is a 16 year old teenage mother. It is not about judgment, it is about me raising my children and teaching them about better life choices! This little girl is not someone that I want my little girl to look up to. So Nick has lost a couple of their favorite viewers!

Each day, we can watch young girls and women almost naked on mtv video or tv show, the same who pretend to be virgin till their wedding and are finally pregnant very young.

It's not because you're against sex at a young age, that teens won't have sex.

So instead of closing your eyes and staying on this hypocritical and puritan consideration about sex (no it won't happen to my children, they are angels, they wouldn't do it to me), face the reality and provide them against HIV, pregnancy and so one...

First of all, a mother selling her 16 year-old daughter's pregnancy story to a tabloid is CLEAR and OBVIOUS evidence of terrible parenting. That combined with the fact that Jamie Lynn was ALLOWED to live with an older guy, at her young age, IMO, makes for a pretty strong case of terrible parenting. I think it's quite obvious these girls were brought up in a completely dysfunctional environment...something that is BOTH parents' faults.

Secondly, whoever said teen pregancy is more prevalent and culturally accepted in the south as opposed to the rest of the U.S. is completely ignorant. Her ignorance is made evident by her basing her "fact" on her GRANDMOTHER'S situation. She formulated a frickin geographical "fact" using a GENERATIONAL example from the 1920's and 30's. Teen pregnancy is a NATIONAL problem now, here in 2007. I'd be willing to bet a heck of a lot of money that the incidence rate of teen pregnancy in the south is on par with incidence rate in the rest of the country.

Finally, while I don't agree with kids having sex at her young age, I applaud J.L. for taking responsibility and having this baby instead of opting to abort.

it is so simple to sit on your sofas, or in front of your televisions, or (imagine this) in front of your monitor and judge someone. lord hoping, one day you are never confronted with what this mother (because that is still what she is) is facing. jls is having a child; granted, its not expected BUT IT IS NOT THE WORSE THING THAT CAN HAPPEN. take all your focus of the crap that doesn't matter and allow for families to deal with their own issues without the general public and media (spawn of satan) to interfere.
