If Owen Wilson really had any class, he, himself would state that Dax and Kate's kissing in the grocery store had nothing to do with his depression. It was long after they had broken up in May. And Jennifer Anniston was counting on a film with him to pull her career back on track. I hope the actor has some class. He has some mending to do as well as obtain. Actor Owen Wilson is in surprisingly good spirits after attempting to commit suicide on August 26, according to his friend, director Wes Anderson.
"Obviously he has been through a lot this week," said Anderson, who directed the actor in his latest film The Darjeeling Limited.
"I can tell you he has been doing very well, he has been making us laugh.”
Wilson and Anderson, both 38, cowrote The Royal Tenenbaums, Rushmore and Bottle Rocket. Anderson also directed the actor in The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou.
"When he is ready he's going to speak for himself much better than any of us could," said the director, who was addressing a news conference to promote The Darjeeling Limited, which is being shown at the Venice Film Festival.
Wilson was rushed to the hospital last week after police responded to a call about a suicide attempt at his Santa Monica home.
In "Darjeeling," Wilson plays one of three estranged brothers (with Adrien Brody and Jason Schwartzman) who travel by train across India in an attempt to find their long-lost mother.
Wilson's character is depressed by his father's death, and he wears bandages on his face and wrist throughout the movie, suggesting a recent suicide attempt.
According to the Associated Press, when asked what it was like to work with Wilson, Brody said that the actor was a fun-loving addition to the set.
"Owen has a tremendous sense of humor and he's very mischievous," Brody said.

It's not true that those who don't succeed at a suicide attempt aren't really trying. There are those who do some kind of half hearted attempt as an outcry, but many who are trying really mean it. It can depend on the way. When a person takes pills there are so many factors. Will they get them all down, will they vomit? What kind of pills? Will they interact with other pills? Cutting is another iffy thing. Will they actually get the right spot? If they cut both wrists will the second cut be deep enough? So many things can play into it, then throw in the possibility of a person finding them and getting them help in time. Most going into an attempt don't care if they live. Downplaying that kind of mind state can be dangerous.

Excuse me, but it's finally enough. Doesn't anyone realize that if a person really wants to commit suicide, that person shouldn't have any trouble to succeed in this endeavor. Mr. Wilson appears never had any desire to complete this fiasco and, in fact, was never plasted all over the media prior to such an action. Sorry, but this person had a good laugh over this one - kinda like that over Ms. Lohan, too

Isn't it strange that it doesn't get US? I forget how I even ended up here. All "message boards and clubs" are blocked on spec. Not sure how it identifies them, but it does. There is a blog network ("blogspot"), that i can access, but there is no posting volume at all. I can access all mainstream newspapers, slate, spin (worst music magazine in history), paste, huffingtonpost, and a few others. But none have any traffic on their boards.
