Katie Holmes' appearances on Live with Regis and Kelly, Good Morning America and the Late Show With David Letterman this week were noticeably less enthusiastic than a few years ago — before she wed Tom Cruise.
Below, watch a clip of a bubbly Holmes (who was dating Chris Klein) as she promoted her 2003 indie Pieces of April on the Late Show with David Letterman.
Compare it to her Letterman appearance Monday.

I really notice how much she sort of bends herself as she sits or even stands. I think this is because she is SO much taller than Tom that she has developed a bit of a fold in her posture.

She apparently has been on the Letterman many times and I do see the change in her, who doesnt. She was bubbly, relaxed, naturally laughing alot and all a total progression from young girl to young woman..Now I find her to be totally stiff, got the Posh Beckham identical haircut, and does alot of the " I do, I do's" like Tom.
Loosen up girl....With her money / Toms money, I am sure she can made to look anything she wants....this is not her look for sure. Need to grow her hair back and be natural....She has the money but she lost her own self, it is very apparent. It seems she just changed overnight with the clothes, the do the attitude...really lose the stiffness and be bubbly again. Yes good question b4 Suri, shes all over Connor and Isabella, do they even exist now any more?

Scientology is not just mocked, people have valid concerns of the practices of the group. They have a background in illegal activities and have been known to harass and intimidate, all while their beliefs have killed members and are scientifically unfounded.
And trust me, you won't see it here, but there are plenty who will call out those who believe that dinosaurs and people walked together. It just usually isn't a topic even remotely hinted at here. I think US is aware of their demographic.

But if you REALLY want a good comparison to how she has drastically changed so quickly under Tom watch the Letterman clip above (you may have to scroll a little for it)where she is on promoting her Batman role. She is 6weeks into dating Tom but you can really see that THIS is the real Katie before he got to her. She was a little older and more mature but still had that truly genuine personality, humor, elegance and down to earth charm. And as a guest had a blast with Dave! Yet in a matter of two years she morphed into a shell of the once charasmatic charming sweet girl that was a breath of fresh air in Hollywood. Those qualities are why TC "selected" her to be his girlfriend for publicity and the business deal relationship but in the end he ruined the very thing that made her different.
I am married and a mother and became both things exactly one year ahead of her and despite the maturity it brings did not change who I am that drastically.

I honestly don't see much difference from the first clip to the second. But I think she looks great now and I love her hairstyle. I wanted to cut my hair like that back when "Chicago" first came out with Catherine Zeta-Jones, but I was hesitant because it seemed a little old-fashioned. But I wish I had done it years ago because now if I do, everyone would think it was because of Katie. Anyway, she looks fabulous and I'm not going to judge her life or what she's doing with it. Everybody makes their own choices and has their own path to travel, and if she seems happy with hers, then good for her. I'm perfectly happy with my own life so there's no need for me to criticize others'. And at least Katie's not out drinking every night and showing the paparazzi her underpants and going to rehab every other month. Perspective, people, perspective.

The only difference I noticed was her stature and a bit of her demeanor...she's hunched over with shoulders slumped like she's expecting to be sucked into the couch, and she barely moves at all, like there's a pole stuck up the back of her dress...she barely moves her upper arms.
yes the videos are about four years apart but one thing I think people need to realize is that this doesn't necessarily mean she's matured, she doesn't seem as bubbily as before, she doesn't seem as confident as before. and really, in my experience with children, having kids brings out the kid in you, it doesn't banish it away to never never land...
she definitely seems to have lost a light at some point, and i'm not basing it solely on these interviews but her public appearances as well, she seems to shrink away from the cameras the more she's with tom and he takes over

What's not to like? She's incredibly bright, articulate, funny, smart and cute. VERY well spoken. And certainly much more articulate (and probably smarter) than Angelina Jolie. She's obviously not easily manipulated and not carried away by emotion. She's no dummy.
Not to mention, I really don't see that much difference. Sorry, her image consultants have done a good job, but she funny, smart and attractive woman was always there - Tom or no Tom.
