Usher's father passed away Friday at a hospital in Atlanta, the R&B singer's rep confirms to Usmagazine.com.
The cause of death was not reported by the Chattanooga Times Free Press, which broke the story.
Usher and his wife celebrated the arrival of their first son, Usher Ramond V, in November.

usher father is usher raymond the third and his godfather is benvereen and he is very murch alive. usher is also close to him to. rip usher dad. am glad that he had a chase to to see usher getting marryed and to see his grandson before he pass away. usher mom was there to when he pass away. and also usher wife.

i am *not* trying to be funny or insensitive but i thought ben vereen was usher's real dad. anyway sorry for his family's loss. hopefully he got to meet his little grandson before he passed.
