I wouldn't say that Brit is fat but the outfit was inappropriate for her body and the low cut shorts made her look heavier. You can look sexy without wearing innapropriate clothes. Muffin tops are for bakeries.

Her performance lacked any energy-- maybe she felt uncomfortable in her clothes. She was sluggish and not at all the performer she used to be.

I feel no pity for her. She's put herself in the situation she's in by making poor choices. She needs to forget about performing for a while and get her life together.

I just want to say that everyone should just lay off with this britney hating crap. Yeah her performance wasnt all that,but damm biotches she's going thru alot! The song was pretty good and is # 3 on the billboard's. So it seems to me she'll be alright! she's not fat just a lil out of shape but who cares!!!!!!!

honestly, everyone needs to just stop putting britney down. people are OVER EXAGERATING the performace and how bad it was. IT WAS NOT EVEN THAT BAD. people i think just WANT to put britney, like they get off on doing that, and it is NOT RIGHT at all. dont judge britney you dont evenKNOW what she is going thru, NO ONE does except for her! there are so many reasons as to why a few things were messed up during her performance but people, stop trying to act like it was the worst thing youve ever seen and you "couldnt even watch it" because "you felt bad for her"... I missed it as I was at the Heaven and Hell (a/k/a Dio-era Black Sabbath), Alice Cooper and Queensryche show in Boston that night but when I got back to the hotel and saw this on the news, I fell on the floor laughing. In the words of Chris Jericho, B*tchney is nothing bout a "washed up, dirty, brutal, disgusting, bottle feeding trash-bagged h*" now folks. I saw Genesis on 9/11 and THEY STILL HAVE IT after not touring the US and with Phil Collins for 15 years. Their reunion tour is a REAL COMEBACK whilst B*tchney is a washed up loser who only had success because of her looks. B*tchney, time for you to die!

You know, I feel sorry for all the die hard britany fans out there who were really waiting for her comeback.. People blaming mtv for her horrible show is just annoying.. I mean comeon people, you can be a die hard fan, but face the truth.. no one is perfect all the time.. Yes she has sone some wonderful shows, and she is a really good singer when she actually sings herself, but everyone screws up and she screwed up royally..her performance was pathetic.. she plain sucked... as for the fat comments, I have two kids myself and if my body looked like hers does I would be going woo hoo baby look at me.. she looks wonderful that way.. she is a healthy size not that stick thin I wanna help her stand up and give her a cookie look...But honestly, what she needs to do is get clean, grow up, and be a mother to her kids instead of flaunting all her tid bits around town and hanging on all those men all the time.. to anyone with half a brain, she is just making herself look like a trashy slut who could care less about her kids.. I think if she put her mind to it, she could eventually make a come back, but she needs to quit thinking about britany britany britany and think of her kids...

i think that britany's come back was just sick. I mean she
just looked horrible, you could tell that she didnt lose all her baby fat from when she had kids. the reason for this is because she kinda has a buddah belly. Not to be mean but brit cover it up before going out in public or just lose it all.

Honestly i was very very disapointed in her performance!!! i was so excited to see it but when i saw it i turned off the VMA's! I think she will be back soon, but just not right now!!! all she needs to do is practice more!!!! my boyfriend JeFf said she was so bad he couldnt even watch the whole thing!!!

I'm sorry. That performance of Britney reminded me of Paris Hilton trying to pretend to have talent. There are so many talented people trying to make it big. Why do we have to watch crap so often?
