One-time Carrie Underwood love Tony Romo says that rumors linking him to Britney Spears aren't true. Cowboys quarterback Romo, who just signed a six-year, $67 million dollar contract with the Dallas team, tells Entertainment Tonight that talk is just another part of the job.
"I think (it) sometimes goes with this position. Being the quarterback... you're at the same place with someone else and people just run with it. It's happened a few times now, two or three times where people just say, 'You're dating whoever'... You just learn that and shake your head every once in awhile and you move on."
Of course, according to Ryan Seacrest, Romo wasn't just near Spears this weekend at Los Angeles club Les Deux -- she gave him a lap dance!
Between Spears and Sophia Bush (who has been spotted with the QB recently), why is Tony Romo suddenly such a babe-magnet? ET heard Cowboys owner Jerry Jones joke, "Tony, I'll tell ya this, sometimes they can smell fresh cash."

I don't know I just don't believe he was in the "wrong spot wrong time" and are you telling me he couldn't have made it so she didn't have access to his lap and such. Also aren't him and Simms friends so how do we know they didn't plan to meet up but now the backlash has come and he's scrambling for an exit.

He said a lot more than this rag is reporting and this was also included in the report:Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE this week, Sims staunchly refuted some reports that Spears had performed a lap dance for Romo.
"The story is untrue," says Simms, 26. "Tony is a gentleman, and Britney wouldn't do that, especially to a good friend of mine."
Explaining their activities, Simms said, "We were all in a private area upstairs and sat down talking for most of the night, but did get up to dance a little."
As for claims that Spears pulled another infamous outfit change: "Not true," says Sims – though the pop star did leave her cell phone behind on the table, which they retrieved shortly after.

I breathed a HUGE sigh when I read the headline "Tony Romo Laughs off Rumers he's with Britney Spears".....I didn't even need to read the story to feel better about it....what a relief he wasn't loosing his mind by hooking up with someone like HER!EWW!!...
Tony and those dimples are SOOOO adoreable. Absolutely one of the most handsome guys in football today!
