Britney Spears’ attorney says her father will not seek an extension of the restraining order against her former pal Sam Lutfi.

"Britney has made clear to everyone that she does not want to be further harassed or contacted in any way by Osama 'Sam' Lutfi, now or at anytime in the future," Britney's attorney, Samuel D. Ingham III, said in a statement to the Associated Press.

Lutfi also released a statement to the AP Wednesday night: "Mr. Lutfi and Mr. Spears have mutually agreed in private that no hearing or order is necessary at this time."

Lawyers for both Lutfi and Jamie Spears were expected in court Thursday for a hearing on the restraining order, which has been in place since February. At that time, Lutfi was ordered to stay 250 yards away from the singer, 26. Court documents filed by Jamie claimed Lutfi, "drugged Britney, cut Britney's home phone line and removed her cell phone chargers and yell[ed] at her."

During the time period Britney and Lutfi were inseparable, the singer was hospitalized twice. Her friends told Us then her parents were "frightened" of Lutfi.

Due to the conservatorship, Jamie controls whom his daughter associates with — making a restraining order unnecessary, according to Britney's lawyer.

"During the temporary conservatorship, the conservators have the power to insure that Lutfi will not harm Britney anymore," Ingham said.

"If Mr. Lutfi makes any future attempt to contact Britney after the temporary conservatorship has concluded, Britney has made clear she will take all appropriate legal action," Ingham added.

Lawyers for Jamie and Britney are still expected in court Thursday to discuss the conservatorship .

L.A. Superior Court spokesman Allan Parachini told Us, “I do not expect the termination of the conservatorship with Britney Spears, but you never know what may happen until it happens."

Judge extends restraining order against Lutfi until July

Sam Lutfi says he is on Britney Spears' side as he fights against an extension of a restraining order from her family.

"Sam and the family are communicating and cooperating trying to do whats best for Britney," Lutfi's spokesman, Michael Sands, said in a statement to Usmagazine.com.

In fact, Lutfi agreed to stay away from the singer through July.

At the family's request, Judge Aviva Bobb extended the restraining order until July 31.

Lawyers were in attendance but neither Lutfi nor a member of the Spears family appeared at court.

Lutfi has been forbidden from going within 250 yards of Spears and her home since February.

In a six-page declaration released in February, Lynne Spears accused Lutfi of grinding up Risperdal, a sleeping medication, and Seroquel, an anti-psychotic drug prescribed to treat bipolar disorder, and giving them to Britney.

Lutfi himself admitted in an Us Weekly cover story that he had given Britney "a handful of pills" to help her sleep. Britney, Lutfi told Us, agreed that the meds were helping her sleep.

Spears, meanwhile, returned to the recording studio this week with former manager Larry Rudolph.

Sam Lutfi has agreed to stay away from Britney Spears for another month.

Both Lutfi and Spears' co-conservators agreed to the extension, which delays a hearing that could have made a restraining order against Lutfi permanent, his rep Michael Sands said yesterday.

"Both parties are happy and will continue to work together to further resolve any issues that may have come up in the past," Sands told the Associated Press.

Lutfi has been forbidden from going within 250 yards of Spears and her home since February.

No suspects have been named, says LAPD

Los Angeles Police released a statement yesterday, saying they are looking into allegations that Britney Spears was drugged.

Police Capt. Kyle Jackon said "particular suspects have not yet been fully identified ... at this time we don't know whether or not a formal investigation will be initiated." The Robbery-Homicide division will determine if any laws have been violated.

LAPD Officer Jason Lee told Usmagazine.com earlier this month, "We are not investigating Sam Lutfi."

Restraining Order Against Sam Lutfi Extended

A judge has extended a temporary restraining order against Sam Lutfi until March 17, TMZ.com reports.

Britney Spears' father Jamie, the co-conservator of her estate, had made the request.

A 21-day civil harassment restraining order was granted against Lutfi on February 1. He was finally served with it yesterday. It was set to expire today.

Lutfi has been accused of demanding money from the singer and drugging her. He has had two previous restraining orders against him for violent verbal and physical attacks for incidents not related to Spears.

Despite her recent wacky behavior, Britney Spears' pal Sam Lutfi said "everything's fine" with the singer.

"Everything's back on track," he said on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM show this morning. "She's handling it."

After her visitation rights were suspended indefinitely, Lutfi told Seacrest she'll get to see her boys "hopefully very soon."

Lutfi also explained Wednesday's wild night. Despite witnesses saying she went shopping at 2 a.m., Lutfi said, "It was midnight, I think."

When asked if the late night spree at L.A.'s Kitson was "retail therapy," Lutfi said, "that was pretty much what it was."

What prompted the late night rendezvous? "Boredom," he said.

(He also said she was "definitely not topless" last night, despite reports.)

And those photos of Spears shopping for pregnancy tests with paparazzo beau Adnan Ghalib?

"I don't even know what the hell that was," he said. "I don't know if they even bought one... I think it was probably for Chad."

(Chad Hardcastle is Lutfi's friend who accompanied them Wednesday.)

Does Spears want another kid?

"No, not at all," Lutfi said.

As for reports Spears wants to marry Ghalib, Lutfi told Seacrest, "That’s not true."

At one point during the interview, Lutfi said he "just busted" into Spears' room as she was showering. "Get out," she said. "I'm naked. Get out!" Spears had previously been "running around upstairs" while Lutfi spoke to Seacrest.

Britney Spears' wild antics continued Wednesday night.

At 7 p.m., the singer and paparazzo beau Adnan Ghalib kicked off their night at Gaucho Grill in Sherman Oaks, California, where she noshed on two beef empanadas, grilled salmon, spinach and rice and a Coke. She also puffed on some cigarettes.

At around 11 p.m., Spears was spotted with Sam Lutfi. Police pulled them over for speeding; she was not ticketed.

Along with Lutfi, Spears — in a crotch-length spangled green dress, ripped fishnets and her double-breasted corduroy pea coat — then went to Ralph's supermarket and left with two carts of groceries.

One photographer yelled, "You're hot!" and Spears replied, "You're mean because you're being sarcastic," before smiling and laughing.

Photographers began shouting questions.

Q: Britney, what do you want to say to Adnan on TV?
B: (Thinks for a second) "I think he's a nice person."
Q: What was the result of your pregnancy test?
B: "I never had a pregnancy test."
Q: Britney, what are you going to do now? Go to college?
B: (sighing) "Oh, I wish I was in college."

Two random guys then approached and joked "Britney, you don't like black guys?

"Yeah, I like black guys," she said, laughing.

She then let one of the guys pose with her in front of the cameras and hugged him.

At 2 a.m., Spears, Lutfi and another pal hit L.A.'s Kitson boutique. The store was opened just for them. Spears walked out about 20 minutes later with three shopping bags.

The crew drove one block to Kitson's Men's store. Spears came out wearing a men's pin-striped shirt and black skinny tie, her hair in a messy bun, around 2:20 a.m.

In a fake British accent, Spears said to photographers, "Where is your driver when you need them?"

Asked if she'd do anymore shopping, Spears replied, "No."

At 2:25 a.m., she was spotted sipping on an orange beverage. A photographer yelled, "Is that a screwdriver?" She nodded and smiled before driving off.

Spears' cousin tells Us the singer's beau Adnan Ghalib "only has bad intentions"

Britney Spears' cousin and former assistant Alli Sims says the troubled pop star is "not crazy," but she's worried about the singer's new beau, paparazzo Adnan Ghalib.

Despite paid offers to dish on Spears, Sims has stayed out of the fray. She has never commented on the singer before and wants it known she was not paid to talk. She breaks her silence to Us Weekly in its latest issue, on newsstands now.

"I do not think Adnan is a good person," Sims, 26, tells Us. "I think he only has bad intentions. He has given me a weird feeling and creeped me out. I wish he would just go away."

"When you go through your whole life just listening to what everybody tells you to do, you get to the point where you're not used to having to pick out yourself what is really important," she tells Us of her relationship with Spears and her adviser Sam Lutfi.

Sims is adamant that Spears was not on drugs before she was hospitalized on Jan. 3. "I do not think that is the issue at all," she tells Us. "I was with her for eight months pretty much every day and never witnessed anything like that – and I lived there." (Sims was not with Spears during her meltdown, despite reports otherwise.)

The aspiring singer says Spears "adores" her two children and is simply upset and sad by her custody situation. "I wish people would give her a break and lay off her," she adds.

In Touch Falsely Claims Britney Spears Wrote Suicide Note

The tabloid reports Spears pal Sam Lutfi found it; Lutfi says it's "100% not true"

A report that Britney Spears wrote a suicide note days before her hospitalization on Jan. 3 is "absolutely, 100% not true," her pal, Sam Lutfi, tells X17online.com.

In Touch Weekly reported that Lutfi had found a suicide note from Spears. "The letter was very sad," a "friend" told In Touch. "It was filled with reasons why she shouldn't live, included lines from poems about death."

The report also incorrectly states Spears was "rushed to the hospital on January 4"; she was actually admitted on Jan. 3.

Last week, Jamie Lynn Spears' rep called In Touch's cover story about the pregnant teen "completely false." The mag claimed the teen was "dumped" and that her boyfriend had demanded a paternity test.

In November, the tabloid perpetuated a false story that Britney Spears was pregnant with the use of "faked" text messages.

Britney Spears Rushed in Ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, Remains Under Observation

After Britney Spears defied court-mandated visitation hours Thursday night by refusing to turn over her two sons to ex-husband Kevin Federline, police were called to her home and later a reportedly intoxicated Britney Spears was taken via ambulance to L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.

As of 3:45 a.m PST Friday, Spears remained in the hospital under observation.

A hospital source tells Usmagazine.com that Spears has been designated a "special needs" patient, meaning "they have either overdosed or tried to commit suicide. So we go stay with these patients and monitor them constantly. We watch them so they don't hurt themselves and watch the people who come visit them to make sure they don't pass anything to them."

Us has learned that the pop star was due to turn over Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, Thursday at 7 p.m. Federline's bodyguard was supposed to pick them up, but Spears was defiant. She had been with the kids at her Beverly Hills home since noon Thursday, after being briefly deposed earlier in her ongoing custody dispute.

About ninety minutes after refusing to give up the kids, police arrived.

"There have been police sent to that residence," an LAPD officer told Us. "We don't know any more at this time, but apparently they've arrived."

Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, was seen leaving Spears' home around 9 p.m.

Spears' attorney, Sorrell Trope, who on Wednesday asked the court for permission to be relieved from his duties of representing Spears, tells Us, "In a normal case when someone shows up with a certified court order saying the kids need to be somewhere else, the police see to it that the order is obeyed. But that is in a normal case."

Spears had shown up for a custody deposition Thursday afternoon (after skipping two depositions in the past month) but left after about 45 minutes.

"She was cooperative," Kaplan said. "There has been no change in anything. It will be continued to another date, which I will not say at this time."

On Wednesday, Trope sought permission from the court to end his representation of the singer.

A source told Usmagazine.com. "[Trope's firm] couldn’t rein her in. No one can, and it's an embarrassment in front of the judge."

Spears, 26, lost shared custody of her sons in October.

Here's a timeline of updates on this developing story:

10:50 p.m.: The fire department arrives on the scene. LAPD Officer Jason Lee tells Us, "The officers are still there. They are trying to resolve this peacefully and legally, according to the court order. They've been there since 8 p.m. and it is in regards to Britney Spears’ custody battle."

11:05 p.m.: Paramedics take a gurney and a backboard into Spears' home.

11:25 p.m.: An ambulance pulls into Spears' driveway, parking behind her car.

11:50 p.m.: An ambulance carrying Spears and other emergency vehicles leave the scene; it's reported that Sean Preston and Jayden James are in Federline's custody.

12:40 a.m.: Spears arrives via ambulance at Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Police had erected screens to shield her from waiting photographers; Federline and Spears pal Sam Lutfi soon arrive separately. Around time of mom's arrival, son Jayden carried into the emergency room by police officer while sucking on a pacifier.

1:10 a.m.: Jamie Spears, Britney's father, arrives at Cedars Sinai.

3:45 a.m.: Cedars source confirms that Spears remains under observation as a "special needs" patient.
