A day after turning 22, she says, "I just want to live a happy, healthy year"

The morning after her 22nd birthday party, Lindsay Lohan opened up about her wishes for the new year.

"I just want to live a happy, healthy year and continue on the path I've been on and be with the person I care about and my family," she said on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM show Thursday, declining to mention Samantha Ronson's name.

Ronson was among the 100 attendees at Lohan's birthday bash (along with Benji and Joel Madden) at Teddy's in Hollywood Wednesday night.

(Lohan's mom Dina and her brother and his girlfriend also flew in for the event, she said.)

Lohan — who wore a short pink dress and sipped Red Bull at the prom-themed party — told Seacrest planning the bash was "very overwhelming, but you make the best of it.

"There were people I forgot to invite," she admitted, "so I had to invite them!"

The birthday girl's table was covered with cupcakes, including one with a tiara. The room was decorated with red, silver, baby blue and light pink balloons.

At midnight, guests sang "Happy Birthday," as Lohan was presented with a large cake that read "Happy Birthday, Lindsay." It featured the iconic shot of Marilyn Monroe's dress billowing up.

"I've never seen her happier," a source close to the actress tells Usmagazine.com. "Everyone got along."

Ronson took over DJ duties from DJ AM for the last hour of the party, which ended around 1 a.m.

So what's Lohan's birthday wish?

"No more tabloids!" she joked to Seacrest.

DJ AM Thought He Was "Destined to Be a Drug Addict"

In a candid new Glamour interview, Nicole Richie’s ex also reveals how he tried to take his own life

In February’s Glamour, DJ AM (nee Adam Goldstein) says that his father’s verbal abuse was so bad it led to his drug addiction.

“I grew up in Philadelphia with a father who seemed to hate me: The verbal abuse he subjected me to was unbelievably cruel,” he says.

(He says he would later learn his father was gay and addicted to drugs. “If my family went out to dinner, my father would hit on the [male] waiter right in front of my mom,” DJ AM recalls. “Finally she’d had enough and kicked him out.”)

But DJ AM says he blamed himself for the abuse. "To deal with my anger and sadness, I ate," he says. "By the time I was 10, I was obese.”

He says people began referring to him as “'the fat kid from Philly.' I spent the next two years doing drugs every day, until I went to my mom and actually asked her to send me to rehab.”

But the treatment center — which specialized in “tough love,” DJ AM recalls — “was an abusive house of horrors that would eventually be shut down. The counselors beat us. They spit in our faces. They starved us,” he tells Glamour.

“When I left rehab, I’d learned nothing about recovery—I attended a few meetings, but within five months I was back doing drugs. Then my father died. Eventually, my mom kicked me out of her house.”

At that time, he says his “main source of income was stealing cash and drugs from drug dealers.

“All along, I hated myself for being overweight. I used to stand in front of my mirror, holding rolls of flesh in my hands, wishing I could cut it off with a knife. Every time I walked into a room I thought people were saying, ‘There’s the fat guy.'"

By 20, he began “freebasing cocaine” around the same time he began deejaying. “I would take my money, race downtown and buy crack,” he tells the magazine.

Overweight and on drugs at 24, he says, “I felt like my life was over. So I went into my living room, reached into a cabinet above my TV and grabbed my gun, a
loaded .22. I sat back on my heels, cocked it and put it into my mouth.

“Then I squinted my eyes and said, “F--k this.” I pulled the trigger. The gun didn’t go off.”

A pal intervened, DJ AM says, and “that was the turning point in my life. I started going to meetings again and distanced myself from friends who were still using drugs.” (He also underwent gastric bypass surgery around age 30.)

Now at 34, he says, “it’s been 9-and-a-half years since I’ve had a drink or taken drugs. But every day I have to remind myself that no matter how much time I have behind me, I’m still a drug addict.

“At any given moment, I’m five seconds away from walking up to someone, grabbing their drink out of their hand and downing it,” he adds.

“And if I do that, within a week, tops, I’ll be smoking crack. So even though I have this crazy fabulous life, I have to hold on to the ground, gripping the grass with both hands.”

We knew it wouldn't last. That is, newly coupled Mandy Moore and Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein's recent lack of showing off some paparazzi PDA! Yes, Usmagazine.com finally caught the lovebirds mid-smooch Wednesday on the streets of Los Angeles swapping DNA.

And we got to thinking: Last year, Moore, 22, and Goldstein, 33, dated Scrubs star Zach Braff and reality TV star Nicole Richie, respectively. So which one has scored the bigger celebrity-mate upgrade? You tell Us!

Mandy Moore and DJ AM are looking every bit the happy couple these days.

Although they are carefully trying not to be photographed, they're appearing more often together in public, and by all accounts are having a blast since hooking up in Miami over New Year's earlier this month.

Sources tell Us that Mandy, 22, and AM, 33, partied together Saturday night at Park City, Utah's Sundance Film Festival, where Moore's film Dedication is showing.

"Mandy was performing songs from her new album, and the last song was 'Gardenia,'" a source tells Us. "DJ was standing in the corner drinking P.i.n.k. Vodka and smiling. He was singing along. He clearly had heard the song before, and the album isn't even out yet!"

Furthermore, Moore and AM were spotted hanging out together during the festival at the Prime Steakhouse on Main Street. The couple, along with six other friends, sat next to each other and dined for at least two hours, drinking wine, and smiling at each other.

Is Nicole Richie's former fiancée a supportive friend or a star humper?

According to the New York Post's Page Six, DJ AM, (a.k.a. Adam Goldstein) is on the hunt for a new celebrity girlfriend to bump up his bottom line.

A source tells the paper that the celebrity DJ has been asking his friends on the DL to "set him up with someone who has a name."

"Basically, he knows he can charge a lot more when he is attached to a famous girlfriend. His rates have had to go way down since he split up with Nicole," says a friend.

Nicole Richie is hanging up on ex-beau, Adam “DJ A.M.” Goldstein -- for good. Tired of getting “constant” phone calls and text messages from him, Richie changed both her cellphone and home numbers, a source close to Richie tells Us Weekly.

“Nicole just wants to move on, but he won’t let go,” the source says. (After two years together, Richie, 25, and Goldstein, 33, split last December, briefly reconciled and then split a second time in May; she has been dating childhood pal Brody Jenner, 23, for about a month.)

Richie also told security guards at her West Hollywood condo to bar Goldstein from the building, says the source, who adds she’s considering changing her e-mail address as well. “Nicole thinks it’s unhealthy for them to talk and hopes A.M. will finally just leave her alone,” the source says.

A rep for Goldstein tells Us, “This whole story is utterly ridiculous.”

And a pal of the DJ also defends him: “If anything, it is the other way around,” the friend says. “She’s the one who calls him, and he wants nothing to do with her. He is very happy not to be with her and is dating other girls.”

Page Six reports that Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari is dating Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein in order to get back at Nicole Richie (who's now dating Cavallari's ex, Brody Jenner). After being snapped in a t-shirt reading “You Can Have Him” two weeks ago, Kristin showed up at a Guess party in NYC Tuesday night with Richie’s ex in tow. The pair arrived at 8:45 p.m., walked the red carpet together, and then chatted it up in the elevated VIP section at Capitale before leaving together shortly before 10:30 p.m. The twosome then climbed in the same car hung out until 3 a.m. at hot spots Tenjune and Bungalow 8.

So what’s the real story?

Us Weekly ran into the reality starlet at the Mac Cosmetics Viva Glam party the following night and asked if she was dating anyone right now.

“Um, no. I’m single,” she tells Us.

What is she looking for in a boyfriend?
“Somebody who’s spontaneous and funny. Someone who can share themselves. Someone just likes having a good time, who’s laid back and down to earth.”

Does DJ AM have any of those qualities?
“No. He’s a friend! He’s a friend and that’s it!”

As for Jenner’s new lady, Nicole Richie, Cavallari says, “I think she’s a sweetheart. I think they’ll be good together. So I’m happy for both of them.”
