Unlike many fans, Dancing With the Stars' Julianne Hough says she wasn't surprised Kim Kardashian was sent home on Tuesday's show.

"Kim was one of the weaker ones," she blogs. "I hate saying that, but it's true."

Though she may not be the best dancer, Hough says Kardashian is "a real sweetheart. Everyone has their perceptions of people before they meet them, and I can tell you she’s such a good person. Obviously, though, people have to be voted off to keep the show going. That’s the name of the game."

Several DWTS members were bummed that Kardashian had to be the one to go.

"I am very sad to see her leave," Lance Bass told Usmagazine.com after Tuesday's show. "We are friends outside the show, so I will get to see her anytime I want."

Said Brooke Burke, "I would have liked to see her bust out and see more of her dancing. She didn't get the opportunity to do that."

Track and field star Maurice Greene told Us, "Kim is like my little sister. All the dancers and celebrities are like a family. We all get to really know each other. It’s sad to see them go."

Kim Kardashian's dancing days are over.

She and partner Mark Ballas were eliminated on Tuesday's Dancing With the Stars after receiving a score of 17 out of 30 from the judges for their rocky rumba routine. (Their score - the third lowest - was combined with viewer votes.)

Adding to the emotion: She was kicked off on the fifth anniversary of her father's death.

Still, the reality star, 27, says she is pleased with her overall performance on the show.

"The real Kim is very shy and reserved and not outspoken and loud like everybody assumes she is," she told Usmagazine.com. "This was the perfect opportunity to show the real Kim."

"It was the greatest experience of my life and that's all that matters."

Said Ballas, "For me, it's not about winning. Every partner you get has a different story, and it's about making it through to the next week and making your partner the best she can be.

"At the end of the day, the show is not about me, it’s about my partner," he added. "I am here to guide her and teach her."

Kardashian's elimination surprised many who assumed Cloris Leachman or Rocco DiSpirito were headed home.

"I was thinking, 'Oh help me, Jesus!'" Leachman admitted to Us after she learned she was in the bottom two. "If we had been taken off, I was thinking that I was going to have to run to the Jimmy Kimmel show, then do Good Morning America at 4 a.m., then take a plane to New York tomorrow."

The 82-year-old actress added, "I was not ready to go home, and I'm not going home!"

Asked if he thought he was going to be eliminated, DiSpirito admitted to Us: "Yes, I did think that for a second."

Said partner Karina Smirnoff: "The show is so unpredictable. It literally can be anybody, and we didn’t have the best rumba that we could have done."

While Brooke Burke dominated the competition, several stars scored pathetically low

The seventh season of ABC's Dancing With the Stars kicked off Monday — with several stars scoring poorly.

Cloris Leachman received a lousy 16. (Her reaction to her low score had to be censored. "They can't even add up the numbers, they're so stupid here," she seethed. She later told Usmagazine.com: "I just get caught up in the moment! What a dumb score!")

Soap legend Susan Lucci nabbed a 15, which celeb chef Rocco DiSpirito took home a pathetic 14.

But the lowest score - 12 - went to comedian Jeffrey Ross, who suffered a scratched cornea after his partner Edyta Sliwinska accidentally poked him during a rehearsal Monday.

While Brooke Burke dominated the competition with a score of 23 out of 30, Lance Bass, Toni Braxton, Kim Kardashian, Cody Linley, Ted McGinley, NFL star Warren Sapp and Olympic gold medalists Misty May-Treanor and Maurice Greene all managed to score above 15.

"I am so happy, I could not be happier," Bass told Us. "We had fun, we showed our personalities. We worked so hard the last four weeks, and I thought we brought it!"

Said Linley, star of Disney's Hannah Montana: "I'm not going to lie - I was pretty nervous! We kicked it off, so I had lots of butterflies, but we had a blast out there!"

One couple will be eliminated tonight; another one goes home Wednesday.

"I put him on iChat because he's in New Orleans right now," she tells Us

Kim Kardashian is showing off her Dancing With the Stars steps to footballer beau Reggie Bush even though they are in different cities.

"When I first started [rehearsing], I put him on iChat because he's in New Orleans right now [with the Saints]," Kardashian, 27, told Usmagazine.com at the Blackberry 8330 Pink Curve party at Intermix in L.A. Wednesday.

Kardashian says she's teaching Bush how to dance too.

"I went to New Orleans a few days ago... just for the night," she said. "I have a brace that helps me with my posture and I was wearing it and he was looking at me like I was crazy.

"And I was like, 'No, you've got to do all these steps with me,'" she says. "So, I was doing my full dance in front of him, but it's hard because I kind of have to teach him and I'm just learning myself - so I couldn't confuse him.

"He gets so excited," Kardashian added.

So much so, that he's joining his squeeze at the dance studio!

"He's coming in town for one day and he's going to spend the day rehearsing with me and see what it's like," she says.

How does Kardashian - who recently said she wanted to lose weight off her famous booty - feel about dancing?

"I'm so excited," she said. "I'm so excited."

The reality star (whose first flick, Disaster Movie, opens Friday) has already determined that 82-year-old actress Cloris Leachman will be hard to beat.

"She's tough, and I think she's gonna surprise people a lot," Kardashian says of the Mary Tyler Moore star. "My grandmother isn't even 82 and she’s tougher than my grandmother. So, she's gonna surprise people. Watch out for Cloris, I swear."

The show will go on for Kim Kardashian!

The E! reality star says she will still be able to compete on the seventh season on ABC's Dancing With the Stars, despite cutting her foot Sunday night.

"I will be able to dance. I will make it," she said, via telephone, on Monday's Good Morning America after the other contestants were announced.

She said she used her foot to push away a broken "mirrored, Venetian little desk" and cut herself "pretty badly" in her New York City hotel room.

"If you saw my room, it looked like a murder scene!" Kardashian said.

All in all, she said, "I did hurt myself, but I'm fine."

Was it an attempt for a sympathy vote, host Tom Bergeron asked.

"No, I can't even think like that," Kardashian said. "I wish this didn't happen — I have to wear heels all day!"

The new Dancing With the Stars cast was announced Monday on ABC's Good Morning America.

Look back on DWTS' craziest outfits.

- Kim Kardashian: Paris Hilton's former BFF, this 27-year-old is now more well-known for her E! reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians — and her famous booty.

- Lance Bass: The former *NSYNC member, 29, came out of the closet in 2006. His autobiography, Out of Sync, was a New York Times bestseller.

- Cloris Leachman: The 82-year-old starred on the Facts of Life, which aired from 1979 to 1988, The Mary Tyler Moore Show and Phyllis.

- Ted McGinley: The 50-year-old actor played neighbor Marcy D'Arcy's husband on Married…With Children, and also starred on Hope & Faith from 2003 to 2006.

- Brooke Burke: Now a mother of four, Burke hosted E! party show Wild On from 1999 to 2002.

- Toni Braxton: The "Un-Break My Heart" singer, 41, has won six Grammy Awards, and sold over 40 million records.

- Misty May-Treanor: The 33-year-old won gold in beach volleyball (with partner Kerri Walsh) at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

- Maurice Greene: Greene, 34, is a two-time Olympic gold medalist sprinter. He once held the world record for the 100m, with a time of 9.79 seconds.

- Jeffrey Ross: Dubbed the "Meanest Man in Comedy" by New York magazine, this stand-up comedian, 39, has hosted roasts for Donald Trump, Drew Carey and Hugh Hefner.

- Rocco DiSpirito: The former Manhattan chef, 41, became a household name thanks to his temper tantrums on 2003 show, The Restaurant.

- Warren Sapp: This defensive tackle, 35, played professional football for 13 years, both on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Oakland Raiders.

- Cody Linley: The 18-year-old played Miley Cyrus' beau on Hannah Montana, and acted in kid's movie Hoot. He's the youngest contestant ever to appear on the show.

- Susan Lucci: The actress, 61, has played diva Erica Kane on soap opera All My Children for 38 years.

The seventh season premieres September 22.

Kim Kardashian wants to lose some junk in the trunk.

"I love that I'm curvy, but I'm on this major kick to try and lose weight, especially in my butt," she tells Radar magazine. "I'm just so over it! When you're posing on the red carpet and the paparazzi shout, 'Turn around! Turn around!' — it gets a little offensive."

Kardashian, 27, denies rumors that she's had butt implants.

"I've seen magazines where plastic surgeons are saying, 'If you want a butt like this it has to be fake,'" she says. "I'm just like, 'Dude, have you ever seen an Armenian girl before?'"

Earlier in the year, Paris Hilton blasted Kardashian's booty, saying it "reminds me of cottage cheese inside a big trash bag."

"Wasn't that nasty?" Kardashian responds. "She called and apologized, and I accepted her apology. She said she was joking. I kind of laugh it off, like, 'You know, I've never denied having cellulite.'

"Everyone's entitled to their own opinion. If she thinks my butt looks like that, I don't really care," she goes on. "At least I have a butt."
