Hang on to your hats, Dr. Pimple Popper is getting her own show! TLC has added a full season of Dr. Sandra Lee, the derm known for her skin-clog-busting Instagram feed (not for the faint of heart), aptly called Dr. Pimple Popper.
The news comes after a highly successful 1-hour special featuring the doctor. Starting on July 11, viewers will be treated to a full season of the Instagram sensation weekly at 10 P.M EST.
The six episode series (each will be 1 hour long) will follow Dr. Lee as she treats various dermatological conditions, helping her patients reclaim their lives — and it’s sure to be emotional. Conditions run the gamut from elephant-like skin conditions to tumors and cysts that hinder her patient’s daily lives.
Dr. Lee made a statement on her latest venture via press release about the journeys her viewers will be following over the 6-hours of the television series. “First you meet the patients in their hometown and see how their skin condition affects their life and the people around them. You understand how devastating their condition really is, how it affects their everyday life and how they interact with others and the world. I evaluate every patient and decide on a treatment course to help their skin conditions — and afterward, we see how we have really transformed their lives!” said Dr. Lee.
