Proving once again that irony is officially dead and buried in its best suit, Snoop Dogg, 35, has announced the launch of his own dog apparel and toys line.
In addition to chew toys that play Snoop’s rap songs, the line will feature a Snoop Dogg basketball jersey (for the thug dog), a faux fur coat (for the ghetto fabulous dog) and a Doggfather hoodie sweatshirt (for the dog that keeps it real) -- to wear to all those freestyle bark-offs.
According to the press release, the Snoop Dogg–branded pet toys and clothes will be available for preorder at Amazon.com on November 21st -- because your dog is going to flip out if it can't get its Snoop Dogg miniature hoodie on the day it's released.
In a clearly off-the-cuff remark, Snoop Dogg was quoted as saying, "Go get some quick, dog-gone it! 'Cuz Snoop Dogg said so. Bow wow!" You see how he did that? With that pun on his name?
Yeah, this Dogg has officially been neutered by corporate America. Please pour one out for his left homie and one for his right homie.

Um, no, people don't dress their dogs up because they want them to look like people. It is necessary when you live in a colder climate like NY or Detriot or Toronto. My Boston Terrier has no fat on her, pure muscle, and their fur is very short and doesn't keep them warm in the winter, so she NEEDS to wear something to go outside or if we take her camping. And why the hell shouldn't she look good doing it. I love the line, just need to find a way to get it up here in Canada !!

I think that Snoop Doggy Dog has a marvelous concept in the launching of this line as Americans in general are the number 1 animal lovers according to statistics.He has become a major influence to youth and young people everywhere and I am happy to see how tailored he has become both in style and atitude, as anyone in his position has the responsibilty of his actions as a role model.It is very nice to see this very positive side and image of Mr.Snoop Dog.Keep up the good work and the positive addvances.Yes!I have a puppy dog and I certainly like the idea of strolling into the cafes I frequent which are normally chic and having my dog clad in chic attire to I think it will become a fashion click for the stars and their dogs as well.

FYI....Faux fur means FAKE fur. Besides, little old ladies have been dressing their poodles and other small lap dogs in sweaters for YEARS, so how is this any different? Personally, I wouldn't dress my dog in clothing, but for people who do, this clothing line is WAAAYYY better than your typical knitted doggie sweater.

It's stupid. Dogs are animals not humans... it's not in their nature to be dressed up like babies, and plus they have the best fur coat in town, it's natural, real and didn't require other animals to die in the name of fashion.
