Viewers have come to love the candid and oh-so-catty commentary Simon Cowell dishes out each week to American Idol’s performers, but apparently one couple took their appreciation of the acerbic judge just a bit too far. Idol’s resident baddie reveals in a 60 Minutes interview – set to air on March 18 – that a couple approached him early on in his Idol career and tried to pimp out his bare boned critiques for cash.
Cowell, 48, tells 60 Minutes' Anderson Cooper that “He wanted me to come to his house and comment on him and his wife in bed. He was going to pay me $100,000 for it,” Cowell says of the bizarre bedroom deal.
We’re not sure if his conscience got the best of him or if he was – as Randy Jackson says - “Just not feelin’ it, dawg,” but Cowell admits that he dashed the daring couple’s dreams.
“I stupidly turned it down,” Cowell tells Cooper. “I should’ve taken the money because it would be a much more interesting story now.”
And here we were thinking Antonella Barba’s racy ‘net pics were the most salacious season six scandal. Obviously we're still eagerly hoping those Ryan Seacrest high heel pics will hit our inbox any day now. Oh Simon, don't be a tease.

Simon Cowell, to me, is a 'right on' judge with his ability comments. However, he is sometimes over the top and cruel with his comments regarding contestents looks.
I think he is needed to tell contestents the truth about their talents, but it should stop there. No more of this "you look like a bush baby" type of comment.

Simon is the only reason to watch IDOL as far as I'm concerned. I agree with his comments 99% of the time. Paula is a ditz and too generous with praise. Randy is cool but a little too much in the whole "Dawg/Dude" thang. So it is no surprise to me why some kinky couple would want Simon in their bedroom "judging" the COMPETITION (which is a word he uses at least once in every show--it used to be in practically every critique).
One can just imagine the scenarios:
"You know, I have to say that you really remind me of POWL-AH. You're such a little vixen, you are..."
"No, that was absolutely horrendous. The worst peformance of the competition, without question. I would swear that I'm in a cheap bleep house!"
