The Hills

Network: MTV

Hit MTV reality show The Hills premiered in 2006 as a Laguna Beach spin-off. The series followed the personal and professional life of Lauren Conrad, as well as housemate Heidi Montag and friends Audrina Patridge and Whitney Port. Frequently featured were Conrad’s friend Lo Bosworth, Montag’s now-husband, Spencer Pratt, and his sister, Stephanie Pratt.

When the fourth season concluded in 2008, Port left for New York City and starred in her own spinoff, The City, which aired for two seasons. Halfway through season 5 of The Hills, Conrad left to pursue other opportunities and was replaced by Kristin Cavallari.

The program ran until 2010 when MTV declared that season 6 would be the last. A sequel series, The Hills: New Beginnings, premiered in 2019 and aired until 2022. Most of the original show’s cast returned with some new members including The O.C. alum Mischa Barton and socialite Caroline D’Amore. Cavallari made a guest appearance on the show in 2020.
