Ryan Phillippe, 30, developed a close relationship with his Stop Loss costar Abbie Cornish, 24, who, in recent pictures, is almost a doppelganger for Phillippe’s estranged wife, Reese Witherspoon, 30 (the pair split after seven years of marriage on October 30). What gives?

I feel so sad when I heard about their broke up. They are really my ideal couple. I have admired Reese and Ryan so much ever since...I can't recall when I started to follow their career. I felt really sad when their marriage failed, I even cried about it for like few months every time I am alone, I can't help but to think why they broke up...I know there are rumors about Ryan but I never doubt Him and I never judge him co'z I really don't know the real score...

I feel so sorry for Reese. She just looks so sad these days. I think it is incredibly cruel and insensitive for tabloids to compare you to your husbands mistress. Whether you actually look a like or not or who is the prettier one or not it is just in poor taste to do that.
Having said that I think Ryan is a jerk for screwing around on Reese. She is so talented and so nice. She doesn't deserve that. No one does.

I just don't understand why Ryan did that: it was not necessary to mess up your family for any reason. He had a beautiful, intelligent, independant woman by his side that supports him in every level (to my understanding) & all she asked is the same in return. Instead, he cheated on her with a look-alike to end up divorced, he'll see his children part-time & regreting the affair... It sounds like it was worth it ryan...

I think Reese is prettier. This marriage seems to be hanging from it's thumb nails. I get the feeling that it was a shot gun wedding. I wonder if Reese had not gotten pregnant if the relationship would have died long ago. They were very young when they got married. I don't think Ryan should have thrown the affair in Reese's face though. If he was not happy seperate do not start a affair. It is sad but so far Reese is doing what every mother would do protect her children. Sad: men usually do not end up with the woman they leave their wife for.

I have to agree with most of the other posters on here...I don't think they look that much alike at all. Yeah, they have the same shape face and pointy chin, but that doesn't mean they LOOK liek each other. As for Ryan, I have always felt that she was more mature than him and that he was more than a little jealous over her success vs. his. Rmember the slap on the back at the awards show? Who the heck slaps their wife on the back for cryin out loud??? It has been coming for awhile, they are just more private than most.

Well I think this photo does not show how similar they look, but when I saw other pics of Abbie I thought they looked similar- in that they both have very symmetrical faces, little button noses, their mouths look alike, and they have very round eyes and light blonde hair. But yes in this photo of Abbie whats-her-name she doesn't have as "soft" a look as Reese. For anyone complaining about how this is stupid and there is real news to be reported, that is the point of this website! Dumb entertainment gossip!
