The New Year's Eve coverage competition continues for the second year in a row as Ryan Seacrest (ABC) and Carson Daly (NBC) vie for the viewing public's attention while iconic host Dick Clark, 77, continues to recover from his 2004 stroke. According to the Associated Press, Carson Daly dismisses the notion that he hopes to replace Clark. "Dick Clark is a huge inspiration for the huge success he's achieved," Daly told the Los Angeles Times. "But that's where I stop. The world is changing. I'm young; I have my own thoughts as a producer. I'm not trying to keep his tradition. I'm trying to do my own."

Just like last year, Seacrest, the popular "American Idol" host, will take over most of the hosting duties for "Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve" three hour broadcast on ABC, 10 p.m. ET. "(Clark) and I have a great relationship. Whatever he wants to do, whether he wants to do more or less than last year, I'll do it," Seacrest said. Meanwhile, Daly will host NBC's "New Year's Eve With Carson Daly," which starts at 11:30 p.m. Who will be the host with the most fans? Tune in Sunday night.
