Are Rosie O’Donnell’s dreams of replacing Bob Barker as host of The Price Is Right about to become a reality? O’Donnell has confirmed on her blog, rosie.com, that she’s scheduled to meet with the game show’s producers about the gig later this week.
And the 45-year-old comedian already has the support of the legendary host himself. At the Daytime Emmy Awards on Friday, Barker, 83, gave his endorsement to the former View cohost.
"There's no doubt in my mind she could do the show,” he told reporters. “She told me she loved `The Price Is Right' and wanted to host it one day."
On Saturday, O’Donnell responded to fans’ inquiries about following in Barker's footsteps.

I am 61 years old and find the Price is Right enjoyable to watch. I use to watch The View until Rosie came on and I never watched it again. Hope that doesn`t happen with the Price is Right! I do love the Ellen show. Ellen has a way of bringing out the best in people. Unfortunately, Rosie brings out the worst!

Rosie is vulgar and too controversial in so many ways. She is immoral, combative and rude and has absolutely no tact or finesse. Rosie has her own personal twisted agenda that to voice it, she will use any platform she can. For her to host The Price is Right is unthinkable. TPIR would certainly lose my viewership along with millions of others. She would be the absolute worst choice that I can think of, to say the least. Need I say more? Perhaps she would be perfect to take over for Jerry Springer. She certainly would fit in there.
It's also important to note that Bob Barker clarified this week that his statements were not intended as an endorsement for Rosie. Though I was taken aback by the statements in the first place, it was a relief to hear that they weren't meant as endorsements.

I am a 61 year old Mother and Grandmother. Always a big fan of The Price is Right...my Dad was on the show in 1958 when Bill Cullen was the host. I certainly hope CBS will do the right thing and pass on Rosie as host of TPIR. She seems to ruin everything she touches.I will no longer watch the show if she is hired as the host. She is not the right person for the job. Hopefully, the honchos at CBS will realize this before they throw the show out with the dishwater.

Of course no one can replace bob barker but rosie is the next best thing! She well bring laughter,fun,and excitement! Everyone at my job of 200 people say yes to rosie!!! We work for a childrens hospital and yes rosie does alot for our children and veterans and deserves to get the job! You have to look in the heart and she does alot of good and is a good person. To those that think she would do good on The Price is Right because of what she did for The View and upped the ratings have to realize that this is a game show and not a talk show, she will not be able to voice her overly loud opinions on here. She would need to stick to the format and not rock the boat and that is not her personality. She needs to stick to a talk show format where she can be more open and loud. I personally dont like her but she has a place in tv, just not on a game show like the Price is Right. I think that she would ruin the show or turn away the crowd and viewers it has now and only bring in a smaller less diverse crowd then the show has now.
