Kiefer Sutherland will be released Monday, most likely in the early morning, L.A.'s Glendale Police tell Usmagazine.com.
He began serving a 48-day sentence in L.A.'s Glendale City Jail on December 5 for his second DUI conviction and for violating probation.
Entertainment Tonight first reported the story
While in jail, he celebrated Christmas, his 41st birthday and was on laundry duty.
He had no visitors during his stay, Glendale Police Department Public Information Officer Agent John S. Balian tells Us, but "there is still a lot of fan mail that comes in."

Sorry for saying 4 instead of 2. I was wrong on that account but not in saying he is very irresponsible in the way he handles his drinking/driving. Hopefully this jail stint will keep him from getting a THIRD DUI.

I think he is doing a good job owning up to his behavior. We all mess up sometimes! But unlike the other celebs hes not mongering for attention or using this to get talk show appearences. Way to go Keifer!

Given what's been reported about Kiefer's behavior since he has been in jail, it's hard to imagine anyone being more responsible and mature about accepting the consequences of his bad decisions. Lovin' Kiefer.

jack has a pretty stressful life- i'd probably have to drink a lot too to handle it-what he does in 24 hours is more stressful than my job all year

This guy did his sentence because he has had like 4 DUI's, he deserves to be there longer. He isn't a saint he is a habitual drinker who cares little about the safety of people around him when he drinks and drives. Hope his license is revoked as well!
