Money shouldn't let you get away with blue murder as it does for so many people including the government. I think Sarah Silverman's sense of humor is way over most people's heads - she is extremely intelligent, appearing to be ignorant and yet she is cleverly showing us what is wrong with the world - and shoving it right in your face - and it doesn't matter whether you have money or not. I like her - I think what she said about courtney love was classic.

Best of all, it's been refreshing to see that her parents are in serious need of a reality-check as well. I was amused with Kathleen Hilton's statement when her brat daughter was sentenced about it being a "waste of taxpayers money." I don't believe Mrs. Hilton would know the first thing about what it is to be a taxpayer, considering the fact she's married to that speciman of a husband since she was 20 years old.

I can understand where other people are coming from about Sarah's comments but is everyone forgetting how demeaning Paris Hilton has been in the past towards others. She has been racist and has been known to have the opinion that lower class people are 'low lifes'. Think about it for a moment. Most of you people believing that Sarah was wrong are probably of lower-class. That is not a bad thing but would Paris care if someone said something humiliating about you on international television? I think not. Would she be posting comments expressing her resentment towards the derogatory comments made about you? I think not.

I, myself did not find Sarah's comments funny at all. And any normal person should not have to deal with such ridicule. But when you're in the world of celebrity, it is an expectation that you will be criticized. Especially when you're a high-status socialite. I believe that Sarah had her opinion and expressed it. The sad fact of the matter is what she said was partially true. Paris is now serving her sentence in the luxury of her own home. The only reason she is ordered back to court is because of the outrage from the public. She has infact received preferential treatment. Paris needed some 'bullying' to bring her back to reality. She expresses that she is better than everyone else when really she is human like the rest of us. I hope Paris learns from this experience and becomes a better person as a result. Who knows.. maybe she will be thanking Sarah one day.

Sarah Silverman's comments were outright mean and disgusting, not even remotely funny. It bothers me that so many people find humor in putting others down. I don't like Paris Hilton myself, but leave the poor girl alone. We all know she's done some pretty bad stuff, but she did not deserve that kind of ridicule - no one does. I cannot believe MTV allowed this material to air. I have lost so much respect for the network and the awards show now. Sarah Silverman's comments were so offensive. Paris Hilton has been known to be rude and racist towards people herself. Therefore, it is fair to say that she deserved the embarrassment. As one person has already said, what goes around comes back around.

Sarah Silverman had every right to say what she had felt (or was scripted to say). Remember one thing. America is a country of free speech. She acted within these rules and also made a joke out of Paris at the same time. Think about it, Paris is one big joke. It's about time she got what she deserved.

However, it would be a different story if a genuinely friendly celebrity had commited a crime and sentenced to imprisonment. They would not deserve the humiliation. If it wasn't for Paris' previous obnoxious behaviours, I would feel differently about Sarah's comments towards her.

I am the last person to be on Paris' side but we all make mistakes. Yea she's a spoiled and cocky but she didnt deserve the sentence they gave to her. She drove around at night with her headlights off and after signing a piece of paper that says that she knows her license is expired, she still continued to drive!Some people are jealous but most people can see she's someone who thinks she can control the law.
