For Owen Wilson, laughter is the best medicine. Recuperating at home after his August 26 suicide attempt, the actor screened Billy Bob Thornton’s new comedy, Mr. Woodcock. “He thinks it’s hilarious,” says a source.
Another source who has seen the actor, 38, tells Us, “He’s not crying or drinking. He is normal.” Good news, since it seems Wilson’s wounds are more emotional than physical. Though sources (including his attorney) have said the actor cut his left wrist, photos show him with a watch, not bandages, on that arm.
(A source says Wilson also took pills; his attorney said there was no overdose.) Besides relaxing in front of the TV, the Texas-bred star has visited with pal Woody Harrelson and yoga instructor Mandy Ingber (who works with Jennifer Aniston). One person who isn’t allowed contact: ex Kate Hudson, who has been communicating with Luke, Wilson’s younger brother.
“The family doesn’t want Owen to talk to Kate, because her friends are talking smack about him,” says a source. Still, the Wilson clan isn’t angry with
Hudson. “It’s not about Kate,” says an insider. “It’s about Owen getting better.” (A rep for Owen Wilson had no comment.)

Nobody knows the real situation accept the people who are truly involved. Stop playing the blame game and everybody just get on with their lives. I'm a fan of both Kate and Owen (more owen than Kate) and I hope they can both just move on and be happy and put the past in the past.

Truth Comes Out! Owen Wilson was hand cuffed to a bed, waiting for his lady friend to return. He gave up hope after seeing DAC's in the Super Market, then tried to knaw his hand off. Luckily, paramedics arrived with the

Owen's problems aren't Kate's fault. If you do something that he did because a relationship doesn't work then you have serious issues that were around LOOOOONNGG before the person was. I'm sure that she feels horrible because she cares for him but I sure hope that she knows this is NOT her fault. Owen needs to get some serious counselling and get rid of whatever demons led him down this path.
