Paris will never change. She's just another Britany and Lindsay. Isn't it sad how everything in the magazines are total lies? It'd really help if they got the facts straight.

Barbara Walters recounted a phone conversation she shared over the weeekend with a jailed Paris Hilton on today’s episode of The View.
Walters was on the phone with Kathy Hilton when Paris rang on the other line and asked to speak directly to the journalist and Hilton family friend.
Walters explained to the audience that Paris “sounded tired, but was totally aware of what she was saying.”
Walters told viewiers, “She’s hanging in there, but feels like she’s a different person.” Walters said that Paris admitted that she had been severely depressed over being sent back to jail, but said she was not “wailing, screaming or sobbing as had been described.” Hilton also insisted to Walter that she has not been on anti-depressant drugs.
Hilton wears the prison-issued orange or brown jumpsuit in jail and is not allowed to wear make-up. The starlet says her face is very dry, but it doesn’t matter because “I’m not that superficial girl. I haven’t looked in a mirror since I got here. My purpose in life is to be where I am.”

On life after jail:
Hilton told Walters, "I want to do different things when I’m out of here. I used to act dumb. It was an act. And that act is no longer cute. It’s not who I am, nor do I want to be that person for the young girls who looked up to me. I’m 26-years-old and it’s a different time."
On finding God::
Hilton told Walters, "I’ve become much more spiritual. God has given me this new chance. My spirit or soul did not like the way I was being seen and that is why I was sent to jail. God has released me."
On future projects:
Walters said, "Hilton would like to help in the field of breast cancer [her maternal grandmother suffered from the disease]) or Multiple Sclerosis [her paternal grandmother was afflicted with the illness]. She might get toy companies to build a Paris Hilton playhouse for children, where sick children might come."
On passing the time behind-bars:
Walters said Hilton has been reading newspapers like the Los Angeles Times and The Wall Street Journal. She is also reading books like The Secret, The Power of Now and The Bible.
On learning her lesson the hard way:
"I will never again drink and drive."
