Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock have decided to end their four month marriage, Anderson's rep has confirmed to Us.
Both Anderson and Rock filed divorce papers, each citing "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for the split, although Anderson's papers list the date of separation as November 21, while Rock's papers claim it was November 26.
The former Baywatch actress has hired famed celebrity divorce lawyer Neal Hersh, whose clients include Kim Basinger, Halle Berry, Drew Barrymore and Denise Richards.
Anderson, 39, and Rock, 35, (born Robert James Ritchie) held a much-publicized marriage "celebration ceremony" aboard a yacht in St. Tropez on July 29, but formalized their union when they returned to Los Angeles in private ceremony at the Beverly Hills courthouse.
The couple also married later in Nashville, Tennessee, and Detroit, Michigan; however, official court documents state the date of marriage as August 3, 2006.
Earlier this month, Anderson miscarried what would have been her and Rock’s first child together. On November 10, Anderson’s rep, Tracy Nguyen, asked that “Pamela’s privacy be respected at this time.”
From 1995 to 1998, Anderson was married to rocker Tommy Lee, with whom she had two boys, Dylan, 8, and Brandon, 10. It was Rock's first marriage.
Anderson is currently in Vancouver filming Blonde and Blonder with Denise Richards. She recently earned rave reviews for her cameo in the film Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan.
Kid Rock is at work on a new album set for release in early 2007. In an interview with Real Detroit Weekly, Rock described the album as "a timeless rock-n-roll record." In April 2006, the musician played himself on an episode of CSI: NY.
