The blogosphere was abuzz Wednesday when the above photo surfaced of Alec Baldwin arguing with a cop, who was deterring traffic from the Cory Lidle plane crash site on NYC’s Upper East Side.
Now Page Six reports that, a few hours later at Grand Havana Room, Baldwin loudly asked the hostess for a working telephone. "I asked you a question in English and I would like an answer in English. Do you have a working phone in that room? . . . That is outrageous. That is totally unacceptable."
Baldwin's rep told the New York Post he was simply asking the cop for directions and said, "Alec would never ever make fun of someone's English."
It’s been a busy month for the most hirsute of the Brothers Baldwin.
A few weeks ago, Page Six reported that the actor was a "total bastard" and "tyrant" on the set of The Girl's Guide to Hunting and Fishing - and drove Sarah Michelle Gellar and other crew members berserk with his rantings, according to a source who worked on the upcoming movie.
Last week, the 30 Rock star had ex-wife Kim Basinger charged with contempt of court Wednesday, alleging that she is defying court orders in the custody battle over their daughter Ireland.

Sure he can act, but its obvious he needs some mental help. I don't think its just a bad temper. Some chemicals off balance there. Even though I believe that his wife should fight him for custody, I wonder what he has against her to back up his case. Someone said that he is so full of himself, and I agree.
I like Alec but he is like Clooney. He would be a great guy if it weren't for his angry outbursts.

Kim Basinger is NUTS!!!! I hope she goes to jail for keeping their daughter away from him. I don't find him obnoxious at all. I think he is a man who speaks his mind and lots of people don't seem to like that nowadays - they prefer the liars in the White House. And believe me, there were lots of ordinary Americans who wanted to leave this country when idiots elected Bush again. We don't like seeing America hijacked by lying, greedy, cowardly men who cloak themselves in Jesus.
I don't know what it is about this family that bothers me so much, but I cannot stand any of the brothers voices, their looks, etc. They are all full of themselves, and they always squint their eyes and look like they are about ready to take a big dump. I believe Kim Basinger when it comes to her claims about Alec. He is a perfect example of the "do you know who I am?" syndrome, which is sad. He needs to be humbled just a bit, and unfortunately his persona comes through in all of the characters he plays. I also want to say that celebs need to keep their trap shut when it comes to politics..they never make good on what they say.

that's right, i forgot about that, a bunch of actors said they would leave, didn't they...hmmmph, seems to me they like america too much to leave, even if they didn't get their way and have a person in office that they could control. alec is a good looking guy, it's just too bad that he is such a hothead...it's been how many years since he and kim divorced? and they are STILL fighting? it seems it's a battle of egos rather than real issues there. they both need to grow up and start being more conscientious...I think they are doing more harm than good to their daughter by acting like imbeciles all of the time.

I think Kim Basinger may be planting this information in the press. That photo may be misinterpred, he could be just having a very animated conversation with the cop. The cop does not look distressed?! I saw him on Letterman last week and he seemed great!

I have never seen Alec Baldwin give a bad performance -- no matter how large or small the part. Sometimes I will choose to watch a movie on the sole criteria that he is in it. I hope he is not having a melt-down....or, if so, that he has enough people near him who love him and can help.

Wow, Alec Baldwin has really made a complete transformation. I thought he was a really cool actor when I was younger (Beetlejuice comes to mind) but now I keep seeing he's a hothead. Lots of people are hotheads but it's hard to separate the movie Alec from the real Alec. At least for me.

Regardless of his personal life, Alec Baldwin is a great actor and commands anyone's attention on screen. Alec Baldwin acts for a living. Why should I care if he's an ass in his real life?
