How will tanning harm a baby?
Rays from the sun don't penetrate past your skin, and the only reason pregnant women don't usually tan is because the heat can make her uncomfortable.
But, who cares if she tans or doesn't tan? She can do as she damn pleases.

I think part of the showing the belly thing comes from women being too caught up in their changing pregnancy clothing sizes that they stuff themselves into their pre-pregnancy clothes rather than breaking down and buying maternity clothes. Some women barely look pregnant, but the majority do seem to pop and get obvious baby bellies. I guess it's easier on their egos (that's not an insult, I couldn't think of a better term than ego)to hold off on the maternity wear until they really need it. Actually, Melissa Joan Hart touched on this not too long ago. She said when she was pregnant with her first, she resisted wearing maternity clothes and wasn't always comfortable. The second time around she gave in and said how much more comfortable she felt in the clothes made for a pregnant woman's growing belly.

I'm not saying its gross or anything, but I don't understand how the whole trend of having your pregnant belly hang out your clothes even started. The first time I was pregnant I was skinnier than Ashlee and people apparently couldn't even tell I was pregnant until the 7th month! I was in college and said something about giving birth in class one day and everybody turned around and looked at me all surprised (I sat in the back of this classroom). Plus it was winter so I guess in my sweaters and maternity pants and winter coat I was all covered up, but still if it was been the middle of summer I still wouldn't have walked around with my shirt up over my stomach. Its like people who do that, they are trying to prove something. Yeah we can all see that your uterus works, congrats!

But really congrats to them on their baby. Hope it all goes well for them.

Im going to predict that shes having a boy. I carried both my kids up high, and they were one of each, so that doesn't make a difference, it depends on your body, and the way it carries, thats all.. I just want to point out that I think they will have a boy! I also think there baby will be a name everyone will talk about... I cant see them naming there kid something common or normal.. its going to be a strange name

What is with this headband trend? I think it's so tacky. It reminds me of something a psychic on a commercial would wear.

Actually, that is how it is. Girls are carried low and tend to be all over the place, but boys are high.

I'm glad Ashlee is smarter than some of the morons on here that think she needs to tan and do things that could harm her baby. Who knew you'd get trash talked for being a good mom and just being yourself? I'd love to see some of these morons be photographed in their daily lives. Judging from their ignorant, rude comments, they'd have PLENTY to get criticized for. Remember, you reap what you sow.

Are you all serious??? Saying that a pregnant woman should go out an tan? Don't you realize that could cause harm to Ashlee and yes, even her unborn baby if exposed to prolonged sun? (i.e., heat stroke, exhaustion, etc.) And for Ashlee, the possibility of melanoma? I am very fair skinned and would rather be called Casper than to risk the chance of getting skin cancer just so I can be tan.
