Britney Spears spent Saturday night with her boys at her Los Angeles home.
It was the singer's first overnight visit with Sean Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden James, 1 1/2, since she was hospitalized at L.A.'s Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in January.
The boys were dropped off Saturday and picked up around 10 a.m. Sunday, according to a source.
"Britney was very upset after the kids left," the source tells Usmagazine.com. "She now does not know when she will get them next for an overnight. She complains it could be next week, or it could be three months."

At a hearing last Tuesday, Spears, 26, was granted overnight privileges.
Asked if she were pleased with the judge's ruling, she smiled and told Us, "yes."
Meanwhile, Spears and ex Kevin Federline — who was spotted partying in Miami over the weekend — are gearing up for a custody trial, set to begin August 25.
Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan told E! that a mediation session last Thursday didn't result in a custody agreement.
Federline is seeking sole physical and legal custody of sons Preston, 2 1/2, and Jayden, 1 1/2 and wants Spears to continue her current visitation terms.
Said Kaplan, "If the existing arrangement was acceptable to both parties ... we wouldn't have to go to trial. But that didn't happen."

Why doesn't he fight for full custody with his other 2 children? Because he can't get anything from Shar. Kevin HAS TO KNOW that Britney wouldn't hurt those children for the world. He has to be in on the loop on what her condition was prior, and that she's straightening up. He still wants her to have visitation though...hmmmmm...No one knows what Britney's condition was prior, and maybe it really was a bipolar disorder, maybe it was really that guy that was hanging with her, that Lufti scum. Kevin is after one thing and one thing only, and that's the money.
Kevin is delusional if he thinks he's going to get full fledge custody. He has the kids because Britney was unstable, they're only with him until there's a ruling in the case. I do hope that Britney gets her sh*t together and fights that a$$hole tooth and nail, because those are her children. He only wants them for the money, and that's it. I hope that when the court hearing goes down that her lawyer makes sure to point that out. Kevin has NO job, and he can only support the kids because of the child support Britney pays. That money also is given to support his other 2 children with that Shar Jackson. Kevin has NO income coming in, Britney is supporting his wannabe rapping a$$. She pays for the nannies, his bodyguards (why does he need one anyways?), her children, Kevin's other 2 children, his home, his food, EVEN THAT TRIP TO MIAMI, and his EVERYTHING..... The court has always believed that the child's best interest is with its mother. That's why Britney's getting her a$$ in gear to get her children back. By the time that court hearing comes up, I hope Kevin is a great big fat punching bag, because he's nothing but a slimey troll. Him and that lawyer of his, Kaplan, are nothing but slimey a$$holes. Kaplan leaks everything to the media, and he opens his mouth whenever he can, and you make note that it's never a positive thing on Britney's account, all because he wants to get people to love $hit-Fed. Kevin is NOT father of the year, he's nothing but a money hungry a$$hole.

When she has them she is there for each visit and not miss any.
AT least when she has them she does not go out drinking like he did 2 weeks ago. IT said that neither one is to drink when they have the boys but he sure went to Vega and hot hammered. And he has drove wreckless with them in his truck and nothing happened to him?

3:41, please do not compare Britney in any way to "the greatest of all mothers." Obviously she has problems which interfere with her being a good, solid parent. That doesn't mean she doesn't love her kids. But that also doesn't mean she's off the hook. She's been a poor excuse for a mother, and for the boys' sake, let's hope she finds a way to be there for them.

She hasn't looked in years. All that alcohol and partying are catching up to her. I believe in second chances, but this is at least her 6th chance. You can't teach an old dog new tricks. As well as you can't expect white trash Britney to be anything but.

READ FIRST COMMENT SECOND. Anyway, I think she is doing great. She is taking control of her life and getting back on track. All those workouts at Bally's are really paying off. She's doing great.
