Britney Spears and Kevin Federline were both in Las Vegas Friday night, but didn't hang out.
Federline nabbed a Father of the Year Award at club Prive, while Spears chilled with her dad Jamie and an assistant at the Cinevegas party at Palms Place.
Spears, 26, sipped just water while sitting in a poolside cabana, according to an Usmagazine.com eyewitness. She departed at 12:20 a.m. Saturday morning, after spending about an hour and a half there.
Meanwhile, across town, Federline was shocked at his Father of the Year award.
"I'm surprised," Federline said when asked how it felt to win the title.
Federline, 30, hit up the club with a group of male pals — including divorce attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan — just before 1 a.m. Saturday morning.
Federline — also named a Power Player last year — had a quiet night at the club, chilling with friends and pumping his fist into the air when Timbaland's "The Way I Are" was played by the DJ.
Prive presented Federline his Father of the Year trophy "someplace quiet" at the dad-of-four's request, so clubgoers didn't see the ceremony, according to a source.

Granted, Kevin has stepped up and takes good care of his boys and he is very much involved in the lives of his other kids. Yes he has made mistakes and taken wrong turns in the past, but I'm not going to take away the fact that he has turned out to be a pretty good father. However, I'd like to name Brad Pitt and Matt Damon...and Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise, David Beckham, Ben Affleck, Jack Black, Adam Sandler and a few others Father of the Year before giving that title to Kevin.

Someone tell me, What is going on in this world when a loser like Federline who lives off his exwife's money is Father of the Year? I can think of a million other men more deserving of this award. So he leaves his girlfriend for Britney while she is pregnant... Yup Father of the Year. He lives off his Ex's money.. yup Father of the year. He got custody of the children because he made Britney believe he loved her and then sent her for a loop.. yup again Father of the Year material. How bout Britneys Father being Father of the year? Sounds more believable to me.

They are honestly joking right? He only started acting like a father when money came into the picture. And by a Las Vegas club? Boy is that something to be proud of. Half the time those kids are with nannies. Give the award to someone who deserves it, like Ben Affleck or Joel Madden. Someone who is a respectful human being.

He should get an award alright. An award for hitching his wagon to the Britney Spears cash cow. By the way, did he also fight for custody of his children of his less wealthy exes? Remember he did leave a very pregnant person to get with Britany? Are we now ignoring this huge character flaw, now that he has Britany's money in his own account? He must have spent lots of money at that night club. Since when have night clubs become an authority of good parenting. It's obsurd! It's an obscene gesture from any night club, and an unintelligent decision on Federline's part to accept it. I'm guessing he wasn't aware of the club's intent to furnish him with such a prestigious award, or else his PR people would have advised him against it. When you look up gold digger in the dictionary, Federline's picture comes up. So now we're giving ticker tape parades to men for doing exactly what women have been doing since the existence of humanity, care for their children. I want his job....screw a celebrity, get fame and wealth from it and have hollywood parasites kiss my butt and pretend they like me.

I wouldn't say he is father of the year, he's just doing what ANY normal father who isn't a celebrity would do, and thats take care of his kids. He is a father and thats his responsibility as a father to look out for his kids. If i got ill or in a accident my kids would be taken care of by their father, but you won't see him get an award....why?.....cause its his duty as a father to make sure his kids are fine. He isn't anything special. I agree his other kids are being taken care by Britney. If i had a free loader and i was supporting his other kids and his habits, i too would of lost my mind too.
I think the world could of picked a better role model like Will Smith or David Beckham, who actually do good for the world.
