Page Six reports that Laguna Beach star Kristin Cavallari is dating Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein in order to get back at Nicole Richie (who's now dating Cavallari's ex, Brody Jenner). After being snapped in a t-shirt reading “You Can Have Him” two weeks ago, Kristin showed up at a Guess party in NYC Tuesday night with Richie’s ex in tow. The pair arrived at 8:45 p.m., walked the red carpet together, and then chatted it up in the elevated VIP section at Capitale before leaving together shortly before 10:30 p.m. The twosome then climbed in the same car hung out until 3 a.m. at hot spots Tenjune and Bungalow 8.
So what’s the real story?
Us Weekly ran into the reality starlet at the Mac Cosmetics Viva Glam party the following night and asked if she was dating anyone right now.
“Um, no. I’m single,” she tells Us.
What is she looking for in a boyfriend?
“Somebody who’s spontaneous and funny. Someone who can share themselves. Someone just likes having a good time, who’s laid back and down to earth.”
Does DJ AM have any of those qualities?
“No. He’s a friend! He’s a friend and that’s it!”
As for Jenner’s new lady, Nicole Richie, Cavallari says, “I think she’s a sweetheart. I think they’ll be good together. So I’m happy for both of them.”

Omg !! Enough with all the Kristin hating. I think she deserves to be where she is now. She was by far the best character on Laguna Beach and the show just isnt the same without her. Plus stop saying she was with Nick Lachey because she has even set that record straight on live television - they are just friends. Just like her and Dj AM are probably no more than *just friends* !! So dont go slagging her for something you dont know for sure. And about the 15mins of fame: Kristin is a young girl who has been given a huge opportunity, im sure if any of you guys were given the postion shes in you would make the most of your time in the spotlight, which is all shes doing! and about nicole (I love her, although I think she needs to gain some serious 20 lbs) but she looks so cute with brody, they go wayy back to when they were babies..and she was never and is not friends with kristin she its fair game
