Vin Diesel and his girlfriend, model Paloma Jimenez, have welcomed a baby girl, his rep confirms to Usmagazine.com.
She was born in April.
No other details were available.
Diesel, 40, once said shooting the 2005 family comedy The Pacifier made him want to have kids.
"What’s interesting about this project was I was giving up a year of my life, but the thing that stood out above and beyond all the experiences was this relationship with the nine-month-old baby," he has said of filming.
Diesel — who will star in the August action thriller Babylon A.D. — is currently shooting Fast and Furious, due out June 2009.

I don't think it really matters if he is gay straight or bi, the facts are he is now a DAD and even if it isn't his(I don't know because I wasn't there) he is claiming. A baby is a beautiful thing that the entire world doesn't have to know about. It is a privilage that they actually let us in on that fact. As far as announcements hey its a free world and you just got yours when he decided to go public.If it were me I would have had a home birth to keep it quiet and after all medical records are, according to HIPPA, a matter of private and a mid-wife or DR could serve tons of time in jail for breaking that code of silence. Be grateful you know what you know and its not nice to slam. Peace and love...HUGGS

Always thought he was gay too, but dang this man is not aging well, and I just gotta say if he's straight, what a loser. I'm mean come on now he's 40 and she's 24, he should have adopted her. Or is it that he would have had a much harder time convincing a woman (not girl)that all those men are just his friends. Come on people. It's no secret he's been dating other women in the last nine months. I can say for a fact there are two that he's been intimate with.(Positive about this. Actually have intimate pics! Check out some of the more descrete sites if you want proof.) So... if he's been dating other women the last nine months and there are pictures with him dating other women,(intimately),they can't be 'that' serious. Hey! Life happens. Anyone heard whether or not there was DNA testing done? Maybe... that's why all the hush hush.
Vin Diesel having children doesn't shock me. But for their to be no birth announcements in the paper... they aren't married... he dates other women... it doesn't make it a scandle or topdog news... it means that he's a private man that likes to keep his personal life just that. Private.
Don't make such a big deal of it. People have babies every day!
Let's face it, just because he may be a daddy doesn't mean he's going to be settling down.
Sorry Vin... had to tell about the intimate pics. In the future, I would dtrongly suggest that you be more descrete hon. Especially when you are out of the country or out of state. Waaaay too many people that know you now.
