Ellen Page won Best Female Performance (for Juno), Will Smith nabbed Best Male Performance (for I Am Legend) and Zac Efron scored the Breakthrough Performance (for Hairspray) at the MTV Movie Awards Sunday night.
Johnny Depp won two awards: Best Comedic Performance (for Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End) and Best Villain (for Sweeney Todd). He beat out pregnant Angelina Jolie (Beowulf) for Best Villain.
Transformers was named the Best Movie.
Tom Cruise – who hosted a star-studded housewarming party Saturday night – showed up to present the MTV Generation achievement award to Adam Sandler.
"The man, the icon, the legend," Cruise said before Sandler performed his own version of "Nobody Does It Better."
Love Guru star Mike Myers hosted the awards.

Johnny Depp has ALWAYS been a mega star. You weren't paying attention. Just because he doesn't shove his kids in front of a camera and lives in France. Watch any of his work, he's amazing. And wow, he is so fine. Also he's cool and humble. What else could you ask for?

I meant to say I'm sorry to hear about Eddie Fatu's mom, Vera, who passed away after a seven year battle with cancer, on April 25, 2008! My thoughts & prayers are with the Fatu family, their friends, etc. Sorry I never said that earlier, forgive me for my mistake, etc.?

Can anyone explain to me why this whole week and during the show, they kept promoting Usher and a performance, and yet THERE WAS NO Usher performance?!
