Gossip Girl Premiere Ranks Below The Hills

The season premiere of Gossip Girl scored 2.4 million viewers, which combined with One Tree Hill resulted in The CW's highest rated Monday ever in its target demographic of 18-34 year-olds.
But the viewership didn't come close to the number of people who tuned into the season premiere of MTV's The Hills on March 24.
With an average of 4.7 million viewers, the Hills premiere was the most watched program across all of TV for viewers aged 12 to 34 and the highest rated cable telecast of 2008. It was also the highest rated episode of The Hills ever.

I personally am a fan of the sultry show 'gossip girl' whats better than watching juicy feuds arise with elite teenagers in a cosmopolitan place where secrets unravel all with the help of the anonymous 'gossip girl' its a must-see! Although i'm pretty weak for the hills' even glossier people with a well-known repuation. So as far as i'm concerned i'm sticking to gossip girl but always catching up with the hills' BOTH UNMISSABLE...

I'm definetly going with the Hills. (I Do Watch Gossip Girl faithfully) But to tell you the truth they (Gossip Girl and The Hills) are about a bunch of rich white people spending too much money both shows have a hint of fakeness in them. However The Hills has a little bit more drama and Besides I lubz Lauren and Whitney!

I like both of these shows..I watched both premieres. I do think alot of the Hills is fake, but whatever - it makes the show that much more interesting, and adds a litttle bit more drama. It wouldn't really affect me if the show was 100% scripted or not. As for Gossip Girl - my favorite show on tv right now!

Gossip girl 100%, how could you think the hills, its a pointless show. If I wanted to watch a fake reality show I would hang out with the fake kids in my class. I think Gossip girl is just a terrific funny dramatic show that goes somewhere, and the actors are more genuine in my opinion. Heidi and Spencer are a joke, they make fools out of themselves. Not to mention how pointless some episodes are of the hills, watch Gossip girl, it gets better with ever episode!!! Trust me!!!!!!!!

I love lauren so I would say the hills besides lauren needs some real friends in her life she's seriously lacking in that department. I also tried to watch gossip girl a few times and got kinda bored.

I am a (huge) Hills fan!
I tried watching Gossip Girl once, but it did nothing for me, so I haven't tuned in since. Although the girls on The Hills live a different lifestyle than I (by far), I still find it relatable and since I have been watching since season 1 of Laguna Beach, its like a (kinda)real life soap opera... ha!

I'm also on my early twenties and love both shows but because The Hills is half reality/half fake, I would rather hang out with the GG cast. They seem more geniune and real. Plus they don't have Spencer or Heidi to ruin the show for me...

I would love to hang out with the Hills group so that I could tell Heidi to drop dead. She is so filled with drama, it makes me sick. I can understand how Lauren feels, some people you just don't want to have anything to do with anymore, but Heidi keeps creeping in because stupid Audrina doesn't realize how messy friendship with Heidi is. The Hills should just include Lauren, Lo and Whitney. Also, regarding the aftershow, how pathetic is he, that Spencer whines how he is treated and portrayed.

I agree 3:33! I am in my early twenties and I tune in every Monday night. I do wish the Heidi/Spencer mess would go away but if that has in turn introduced us to Stephanie then I'm all for it.

I'm mid twenties and really enjoy the hills. A glimps into a life/lifestyle I'd other wise never be exposed to by a girl/woman who is smart, ambitious, true to herself. I like Lauren and Whitney. Lo is a kick in the pants pal, Audrina is s l o w and that makes me feel good about myself. I may not be that pretty, but I'm smart. I do despise the Heidi & Spencer crap. I purchased Tivo just to fast forward those two. I really despise having to what them fast mo even.
Real people, real problem, added filler? Yes, but not a scripted show where you like the actors but not their character or vise versa.

I can't believe that this many people are watching the hills-it's completly fake. i watched it the first season but it's always the same... LC whining and trying to control her friends lives. She needs to get over herself. They are all spoiled rich girls with nothing better to do than club, drink, and whine (mostly lc)
