Don't ask Leighton Meester what she thought of last night's episode of Gossip Girl.
"I haven’t seen it yet!" she confessed to Usmagazine.com Monday evening. "I’m not going to be able to see it tonight."
Why?
The Florida native, 22, was busy hobnobbing with Eva Mendes, Diane Kruger and beau Joshua Jackson, and Naomi Campbell at the opening night of La Fille Du Regiment at the Metropolitan Opera in NYC.
Still, she admitted, "I can’t wait to see it!"
Meester (who was featured in Us' Hot Hollywood package) has a clear idea on who she wants her character Blair to hook up with — and it isn't Nate (Chace Crawford) or Chuck (Ed Westwick).
“I don't want her to get with anybody right now,” Meester tells Us. “I don't think that either Nate or Chuck are right for her, but maybe she'll end up with one of them.”
On last night's episode, Blair attempted to make a comeback after she had been dethroned as the alpha female of her Manhattan school after her classmates learned she slept with Chuck and had a pregnancy scare.
She also plotted revenge against Jenny (Taylor Momsen) for blabbing about it.
“I want the bitch to come back right now," Meester says of Blair. "I think she has to claw her way back up to the top."

The premiere episode made me want to fall asleep. I kept going, "Sooo... It's going to pick up now, right?" But it never did! There was FAR too much Jenny for my tastes, and the rest of it was slopped up with commercials.
Sorry, but Jenny is my least favorite. The other characters I find far more interesting. :/

I agree with a lot of the comments. I think Blake is really pretty, I just portrayed her as much prettier. I think Leighton is the perfect Blair, since theuy said she was fox-like and gorgeous, which she is. I HATE JENNY! uglyy son of a gun. I want Nate and Blair back together!!! Or Serena and Nate together!!! I don't like how they had Vanessa have hair, in the books she shaved it, and I DEFINATLY DON'T LIKE HOW HER AND NATE ARE GOING TO DATE. I like how they give it it's own orginality, but they could have made the premiere not so much about Jenny and focus on the main characters.

Lynners, I agree....I was looking forward to seeing a more effeminate C as portrayed in the books....a shaved head V, a "top heavy" J and frankly, a prettier S...I mean, Blake is pretty, but she's not at all what I pictured when I read the books. I think Leighton is the prettier of the two.......

I've read the books since the beginning and at times I'm annoyed with the way they are portraying people on the show, for instance - Vanessa, nothing like the book character. And Jenny, she was kind of homely like the show but where's her "chest"? And Chuck will be the gay guy. If they do what the book says/shows. Now Georgina (since you said it) sort of makes sense, but why do I think it's someone Nate had a thing with not Serena? Am I forgetting something from the books?
PS - Where is Chuck's monkey?! Ha ha...

Last night's episode was horrible! Are we supposed to feel sorry for Jenny? She STOLE a dress, let the maid take the blame after she pawned it, the stole it back from the shop and when caught, tried to make herself innocent! Um yeah, no sympathy. And the fact that Serena can be perfectly fine with Jenny and Nate, after what both of them did to Blair, proves she's not as great a friend as she likes to think she is...and the girls forgiving Jenny, a FRESHMAN, just because she brought Nate to Butter...if this crap keeps up, I'll be gone

Loved last night's episode. I watched this in the beginning b/c i had read the books... but i kind of lost intrest... This was really good though. I love the cast. I saw a spoiler online last night that kinda pissed me off about the new girl Georgina, i think she's just going to be TROUBLE! I don't hate jenny... i think she's just following in B's footsteps. But we all know D and S are the best couple on the show. even though nate is the hottest.
