Fresh Takes, a five-part micro-series created by Dove Go Fresh, airs between The Hills and follows the life of fashion-forward music PR rep Alex (played by Alicia Keys).
"It’s all about the way my character lives with her two best friends in NYC," she tells Usmagazine.com of the storyline. “We juggle work, life and our insecurities and vulnerabilities of being twenty-somethings in the city.”
On next week’s episode (airing April 21)? A career complication.
Nick Lachey plays Todd, Alex’s colleague, who vies for the same position as her within the firm.
“In the beginning it’s a challenge, but as it goes forward they develop an appreciation for each other...It could go anywhere from there!”
How did Keys feel about working with MTV vet, Lachey (who shot to fame on Newlyweds with ex-wife Jessica Simpson)?
"He's a cool guy!" Keys tells Us.

1:58, hello, from England...OK, here's the deal. I'm not a Nick Lachey fan, although I am one of the few who can wish both he and Jessica well in their future endeavors. My response to you, British smarty-pants (decided to be kind and well-mannered), is anyone living in a country supporting a ROYAL FAMILY headed by an old woman in abominable hats, with a son in his 60's waiting for her to die before he can begin his real "job" needs to keep their proverbial mouth SHUT! Speaking of blondes, Charles has been married to two. One was beautiful, and is unfortunately dead (think his family had something to do with it???). The other (Camilla) is incurably ugly, yet he prefers her. In our opinion, HE is the stupid one, although both blondes could have done better than him. Deal with your own issues, dear Brit, then comment on ours.
