Apparently, George Clooney gets his share of action off-camera as well.
During a recent trip to southern Sudan, he said he was going through checkpoints when muggers attacked him.
"There were all these young kids with AK47s," Clooney, 46, tells British men's magazine Zoo Weekly. "They pointed guns at us and stole what they could. It happens all the time."
His assailants didn't recognize him, he said, joking, "They don't have great TV out there!"
The Leatherheads star — who is dating former model Sarah Larson — also opened up about being a sex symbol.
"Well, I do have good hair!" he deadpanned. "To be honest, being the fantasy guy is dangerous. If people saw me up close, they'd soon change their minds!
"Plus people's fantasy guys change every 15 minutes," he added, "so you take those compliments knowing that it will change fairly quickly."
Clooney says he "has many failings." Among them: "I'm a terrible dancer."

I am not a fan of him but I did meet a few years ago in Phoenix AZ at resort. He was really nice and polite. He shook my hand and singed an autograph. that's just my opinion of him.

Joyce, you have to be 50 to receive an AARP card! He is handsome, caring, sexy, kind to his co-workers. There should be more men like him!! You have the right to your opinion, but unless you have met this wonderful actor keep your comments to yourself. You only make yourself look like a fool and a jealous one at that. I worked for a major airline and 99% of the stars were gracious to the working woman. His parents did a wonderful job raising this amazing man. One day our looks will fade and I have no doubt that he will alway be a great man who loves his friend and cares for other people.

Life in Hollywood seems to be getting difficult these days. You simply have no choice but embrace a humanitarian cause if you don't want to look selfish or living on another planet. I just wonder why Clooney embraced a humanitarian cause, too. Was he afraid that he would have nothing to talk about if he got together with Brad and Angelina in the same room? Ha-Ha.

Well, you knew it had to happen sooner or later. What do these Hollywood idiots think, they can just show up in a war zone or failed state and think everything is going to be just dandy? It was only a matter of time before one of them got robbed. If they keep it up, one of them will eventually end up dead. People in those areas of the world don't see things the way we do.

His modesty makes him even hotter. Love this guy. Such a cool dude. Everyone I know who's worked with him says he treats everyone from the director to the extras the same. There should be more people in Hollywood like him.

george clooney is beginning to sound suspect! i think he is smoking tons of weed up in them there hollywood hills which is resulting in some major hallucinations. he keeps coming out with these fantastical things that have happened to him as if he is somehow a real "super hero"! classic! note to the cootster put down the bong and sign up for your AARP card you old wind bag!
