Brody Jenner’s former-BFF, Spencer Pratt is the Hills’ most notorious bad-boy. This Los Angeles drama king has earned his fame as a result of his rollercoaster romance with Heidi Montag. In May 2007, just eight months after Montag and Pratt together, the couple announced their engagement. However, after much criticism from the public, Montag's grave uncertainties, and Pratt's refusal to have a big wedding, the duo called the engagement off. Pratt told Montag: "I just get stressed out when I think of the big production [of a wedding] when all I want to do is marry you."

Pratt received his bad boy rep in part due to his controversial back-and-forth behavior with Montag. Amid rumors that Pratt encouraged his girlfriend to go under the knife, Montag confirmed her decision to have plastic surgery was her own, but Pratt is often the mastermind – and financier – behind Montag’s music videos and paparazzi “photoshoots.” As seen in season two, Pratt also maliciously cut off his girl from her former Hills crew: Lauren Conrad, Audrina Patridge, and Whitney Port, allegedly perpetuating the rumors of a supposed sex tape featuring Conrad and her former beau Jason Wahler.

The perennial player continues to stir up trouble in the extended third season this spring. He will battle with not one, but two women close to his heart: Montag and his sister, Stephanie. His primary focus? Sorting things out with Montag, who accuses him of cheating. She screams, "I'm not the one who wanted to see other people!" Pratt also goes head-to-head with sister, Stephanie over her budding “friendship” with Conrad, Montag's former frienemy.
