Report: Britney Spears to be Deposed in Child Custody Case

Britney Spears is expected to give sworn testimony in a deposition in her custody battle with ex-husband Kevin Federline at 10 a.m. Wednesday morning at the L.A. office of Federline's attorney, TMZ reports.
Spears, 26, lost joint custody of sons Sean Preston, 2, and Jayden James, 1, in October, when L.A. Court Commissioner Scott M. Gordon granted her just two daytime visits a week, plus an overnight visit. A court-appointed monitor must be present during all visits.
Sources say Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has already deposed several Spears friends and associates over the last couple months.
Federline and Spears split just over a year ago.

Jen, in all my experience with drug testing (working with addiction specialists) we never allowed someone to take a test if they just showed up. That's not how it works.
Could you cite your sources?

It doesn't matter why she failed the tests...it's the fact that she isn't doing whatever it takes to get her kids back. She's too slack to call them back in 1 hour...that's pretty bad, she must've been shopping.

Re-read my post. that is exactly what i said. she has to respond to the call within the hour if she does not it's technically considered a fail. That does not mean she didn't show up for the test. She did show up for those tests and passed. She was not credited for those passes and it was deemed a failed test because the the timeframe NOT because she tested positive for any drug.

Maybe I am a little frustrated. NOT because I'm in a similar situation. Because she has opportunities that most people don't, but she still doesn't give a damn. If it were one of us we would of lost our chances to be with our kids. Actions speak louder than words, and her actions show that she isn't stressing about getting her kids back. The court doesn't take kids away from their mother unless someone proves that the mother is unfit-thanks to some of the medias pics. It's aggravating to me, because I am a young mother, and everything stopped when I found out I was preggo. Nothing should be more important than her kids, their health,happiness,livelihood BUT she's more worried about her face in the media, parties,sex,drugs, alcohol...completely my opinion, but I still think she's a media wh0re...if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck....just calling it like I see it.

This happens all the time. Girl just wants a nice family, with children and a loyal husband. However, girl has husband who wants it all, the monetary benefits of marriage and the freedom to party at the same time. Girl dumps party boy. Party boy then drags her through hell to punish her and try to get her money, all the while using her own children against her. And the legal system helps him. Britney is being driven insane. People should feel sorry for her and help her.

12:25 according to the court order this is what happens, and I quote:
"Three attempts over the course of at least one hour to contact petitioner at the telephone number she provided to the testing facility without a response from the petitioner shall constitute a failure to test pursuant to the court's prior orders."
That is from the order filed 10/30 and is the same drug testing order that had been in place previous to that date.
She doesn't call back in an hour, it is a failed test. Those are the legal definitions for all people. You miss, you do not comply, you fail.
Once she complies for 60 days her testing schedule changes. She drops to once a week.

Jen it only takes 45 seconds to get your test results back are her kids so NOT important she can not wait that long? She is a sick little girl who has NO use for her kids and visa versa, before the courts EVER think about giving her joint custody again she needs help and for real this time! I can not understand why you idiots are still taking up for her! Her family should have helped her a LONG arse time ago but taking up for the waste of space is only adding insult to injury!

She did not miss 8 drug tests. She did not call the lab back within the hour. It was confirmed she still took thoses tests and passed the tests. They were ONLY considered failed on the 1 hour technicality not that she tested positive for anything. If she missed 8 drugs tests, garanteed she would have had her visitations stripped and she did not.

11:59, is your only defense of her that she should be able to do what all others can? That does not address many concerns.
All people should not run lights and stop signs and drive the wrong way into oncoming traffic.
All parents should have some kid friendly activity- the court monitor said in several of visits there was none, not even at home.
And if you have assistants out the wazoo, hate media attention, want to protect your kids - why not have the assistants get the Starbucks?
No parent should repeatedly defy court orders. Most would have been held in contempt.
Most who are in the throes of addiction have issues caring for their kids.

From your conversation you sound frustrated. Have you been through this situation or similiar. This is only my opinion.
I see different celebrity's on pictures in stores with their kids, walking down the street with them etc. Not all outings are child focused, people have errands to run everyday. I like those who critize her Starbucks runs as if she is the only person in America who buys their product everyday. Where I live, I see lines out the door daily for them. As I have stated she is normal and does normal things by going out and no one should be confined inside except for criminals, celebrity or not. What is you were a customer service rep and had a person curse at you, would you want to her well that is your job. This is no different, many celebrity's have stated that just because this is what they are and do, they still deserve a private life and are entitled to it. So you are saying just because she likes to sing and has made a career of it, she has to suck up people stalking her, because that is what they are doing. I and I am sure many do not agree with that.
And again, name calling, come on. Really, that is necessary. Most of the time when people name call, it is because they have been called names and can not get past it. Normal intelligent people can have a debate or disagree and not resort to nam calling.

All the court confirmed was that they were not qualified caretakers. Those allegations were also part of the tabloid stories, so perhaps it lends some credence, perhaps not.

No AO, she was not hiring qualified, reputable nannies. That is why it was a stipulation of the court that all child caretakers must be qualified. The nannies weren't even trained in CPR.
Some have nannies full time. Doesn't mean one is less involved. Just that the feel the need for another hand.

Actually Britney spends three times what Kevin does on nannies. His bill was $2000 a month, hers was $6000. This is when they had 50/50 split.
