No illegal drugs were found in Heath Ledger's apartment, the NYPD told the AP.
A rolled-up $20 bill was near the actor's body, but a WCBS-TV report that the bill had drug residue was erroneous, police told the AP.
An autopsy on Ledger's body was inconclusive.

Heath Ledger was one, if not my favorite actor. He meant a ton in the entertainment world and I'm pretty sure everyone is going to miss him. I have 10 things i hate about you on my ipod and i've watched it like 10 times since he died. When i found out he died my heart jumped and i lost my breath. He was amazing. I pray for Michelle, Matilda, and his family. I can't even imagine how sad they must be right now. I hope they know how great and amazing their son was. R.I.P. Heath Ledger..You definitely will not be forgotten. Especially not by me.

I think everyone is just searching for some reason behind such a tragic loss of a very young man. I'm grateful that his daughter will know he hadn't done anything wrong. I'm so sad he was alone when he died.

It doesn't matter if he was a drug addict or not. He still was a great talent that didn't deserve to die. It's very sad. He obviously had some real problems that he hid well. He came across as "normal" and unHollywood but I guess he is no different than Lindsay or Britney. Maybe it was an accident and maybe not. Good people do bad things (suicide, "overdose").People don't want to accept the truth and put some people up on pedestals. I don't get how he didn't know not to mix meds so I don't get the whole accident thing. It's easy to make it look accidential so your family still gets their life insurance. Anyway, let this great talent rest in peace.

THe press should keep their mouth shut until all the facts are known. They keep changing their story. For the sake of the family, the press should back off until the cause of death is definite.

Well obviusly did't know him as a person. But I do greave the loss of the actor... he was a great actor that first became knonw with the teen comedy "10 things I hate about you". He could go on the path of easy comedys like Freddie Prince Jr, but instead chose more edgy projects.
My heart do goes out to him. He was the best thing in Brokeback Moutain. The scene where he says to Jake Gyllenhal's charecter "I wish I knew how to quit you" is one of the best and more sincerely lines ever delivered by an actor.
Rest in peace, Heath. You'll be missed.

I am so sad for Michelle and Matilda, as well as the rest of his family. Little Matilda, will never remember what an awesome dad she had and how much he loved her! Poor Michelle isn't going to have the support of the father of her child. My heart is breaking for these two. I have a son around the same age as Matilda, and I have no idea how I would handle something like this. They are in my thoughts and prayers!

i feel sad for his death. he was so young and talented. i remember the first time i saw him act, it was in the movie 10 things i hate about you, and i got a crush on him, his deep voice made me melt... it's such a great loss, i still can't beleive it. the previews for the new batman(where he plays the joker)look amazing, i can't wait to see that movie, just cause he's in it. my heart goes out to him, he didn't know he was gonna die, and thats so sad, that's why i want to take a moment to say a prayer for him in my native language:

I have always regarded him as one of the greatest actors of my time. Does not and should not matter to anyone how he died. It doesnt change the actor he was, the type of father he was, or even the type of person he was. Just wish that his family was left to mourn in peace without speculation. My best to all of his family

This kid passed away yesterday and his picture is plastered everywhere...I feel so bad for the family, and granted Im no better since i am even on this website, but still, come on, obviously he was alone in that room so will we ever really know exactly what went on? I KNOW THEY FOUND OTHER DRUGS OR OTHER "STUFF" IN HIS APARTMENT, AND I REALLY PRAY THAT IT WASN'T WHAT TOOK HIS LIFE, B/C WE HAVE LOST SO MANY YOUNG BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE TO DRUGS AND I PRAY THAT ONE DAY EVERYBODY WHO THINKS THEY KNOW WHEN WILL KNOW WHAT NO MEANS AND STAY AWAY FROM DEATH.

Please dont speculate. He has a family and it is unfair tothem. Wait until the full report is out. Please. The pain for his family must be overbearing. I dont know, when I see pictures of him he looks so beautiful with his lovely daughter, there is no way he would have committed suicide. I cant help crying. It is just so sad.

Look at the pictures of him and Matilda....he loved her SO much pictures don't lie. He was always with her. I HIGHLY doubt he wanted to leave her

Such a tragic loss. Heath was such an amazing talent and seemed to me to be a great person and a loving father. He will be greatly missed.
P.S. -MzAmber - mostly true. About 4 out of every 5 bills in circulation contain trace amount of cocaine - about 80% of paper money. On average, the amount is thought to be less than one-thousandth of a gram.

Why are you already judging? Didn't you listen to what Heath's Father said? Wait until the autopsy is finished. He might not have overdosed, etc. No one knows! Give it a break! Heath was a very talented actor, loving father, and seemed like an all around good guy! He will deeply be misseed!~

They said he had a drug problem in his past. This is so sad. Hollywood lost a great star. I dont think it was something he did on purpose. Accidents happen when you have substance abuse problems or taking medication. I feel horrible for his little one.

Boy, the media just refuses to let the public think highly of an accomplished actor, even after he has died. Whether its true or not, what should be the focus here is what a great guy he was, his accomplishments, how much he will be missed. not the little baggies of drugs & rolled up bills. for all we know, it could of belonged to the housekeeper, or someone else. now he's being reduced to a crazy drug addicted freak with no regard for life.
