Nicole Richie is feeling the heat over an email invitation sent out for a party she co-hosted Sunday night, attended by Mischa Barton.
Us sources confirm reports that Richie's invite declared: "Let's glorify this day in your sluttiest tops and your tightest pair of tsubi jeans, even though we have no...clue what Memorial Day really means!!...There will be a scale at the front door. No girls over 100 pounds allowed in. Start starving yourself now. See you all then!!!"
In explanation, Richie's rep tells Us:
“This invitation was sent via email to her friends who understand that she was responding in a joking manner to the constant untruths printed about her in the media. Her reference to Memorial Day was in no way meant to offend anyone but was simply an expression of her distaste for the current situation.”

does anyone remember the movie back in the day Jason & The Argonauts. I could of sworn she was one of the skeletons that was fighting Jason. JUst kidding Nicole. I have to admit she really looks hungry and malnourished. But I can relate to her in the since of stress. Everybody handles it in their own way. When I got stressed my weight plummeted to 96 lbs. Now I am happier being at 107 which isn't much but it's better than how much i use to way. We have no idea how these people live and the amount of pressure they go through day in and day out. She still is a very beautifulgirl and We should really not ride her so hard the way that we do. It's possible that she might really need time by herself and look at herself in the mirror. She is not healthy. I pray for you Nicole and honestly, you are only a beautiful woman if you recognize it from within yourself. Take care of yourself and slow down.

Yuck! I wonder if she even realizes how terrible she looks. Not only does she look like the walking dead, but she looks like a barefoot homeless person. I think thin will always be in to a certain extent, and being thin and fit does look great. However, people are just pushing it to the limit now and it's ridiculous. When your bones are protruding from your body like a skeleton, it's time to get your head checked. It's sad that no one seems to be intervening and trying to get this girl some help, if she at least can't help herself.

Nicole Richie is making her "sick" weight look like fashion, her SHOWING off that horrible figure and then saying that she "prefers scary skinny because she likes the look of homeless people and rock stars who overdosed on drugs". Skinny being "in" has nothing to do with starving yourself until you look like a bag of bones - that's not fashionable, that's a mental problem. yeah, i don't think that's her either. i've never seen a big mole on her leg, and you can tell that the head is not really part of the picture. about memorial day -- even the major news stations don't realize what it is. they had some special on the Early Show that said they were going to recognize the soldiers in honor of memorial day. that's what veterans day is for. memorial day is for honoring those who died in war. i don't blame her for not knowing that. it seems like most people don't.
