As young Hollywood continues to tread on a downward spiral — both actors Heath Ledger and Brad Renfro died tragically within the same week — a new generation of power girls are pledging not to wind up with the same sad fate.
In the new issue of Us Weekly, on newsstands now, Us interviews the top 10 stars — from Hannah Montana’s Miley Cyrus to Gossip Girl’s Blake Lively — you need to know about. In addition to raking in the big bucks — Miley Cyrus earned $3.5 million last year — these young ladies tell Us they keep their heads on straight.
Says honoree Amanda Bynes, 21: “I don’t like to drink. I have definitely stayed out of the party scene. I’ve been offered to go to those parties, but I feel like I would be the one who would die if I did something.”
Of today’s out of control club-goers, she adds, “I don’t know how they think they’re gonna live forever.”
Echoes High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale, 22: “I don’t drink, and I don’t smoke. It’s a personal preference. My mom has never drunk or smoked. I look up to my mom.”
She tells Us she doesn’t get how her Hollywood counterparts can find time for clubbing.
“I don’t understand how people do it —I work non-stop! Then when I’m done working, I’m just so tired I just want to be home,” she says.
“Clubs are just not where I want to be photographed,” adds country singer Taylor Swift, 18.
She also says she realizes the impact her actions could have on her younger fans.
“For everything I do, I think about a 6-year-old girl and her mom that I saw at my concert last night,” she tells Us. “I think about what those two individuals would think if I were at a club last night.
“I never want to be arrested, and I never want to get a DUI,” Swift says. “Those are my moral values. I am an over-achiever, and I want to be known for the good things in my life.”
Childhood star-turned-teen queen Raven-Symone obeys a rule: “I like to be in by 1 or 2 a.m. because [you can get in more trouble] at night. Anytime really, but the night scares me sometimes.”
Miley Cyrus, 15 — Hollywood's No. 1. power girl — offered this tip to today’s troubled young stars.
“The most important thing is really staying true to yourself,” she tells Us. “That’s what my mom taught me. She’s the most beautiful girl, not only on the outside but on the inside. She’s teaching me how to be a good person.”

Miley Cyrus is so fake. She talks about staying true to yourself and how she's going to wait to have sex until she's married and it's all a bunch of bull. I mean look at all of the pictures she takes of herself in her underwear, showing off her bra and laying on some guy with her shirt pulled up. Yeah what a good role model. And if you're going to do that why would you take pictures of it and put them on the internet when you're famous and you know it's bad publicity and little girls look up to you. Yeah she definitely won't be another Britney Spears.

I have to say i was a big Miley fan when they first started Hannah Montana..but now i think she is a total diva and i think the stardom has gone to her head. When they first started Hannah Montana i was like wow this girl is sweet and a great role model for kids,but that has all changed. There have been pictures found of her almost naked and even if she wasn't naked it could lead up to that if shes not careful,i think her familly didn't help eithor. She should have just stayed in tennesi. Oh and then lying and making up storys about her and Nick..thats just rude she dosn't have to lie about they;re relationshop..Nick deserves someone much better than little miss Britny spears to be.

There has been another discovery of more pictures of her that are worse than the others were. I have a daughter who watches her show and it upsets me to hear about this! well i think that miley is a bad role model because of her latest picture she had with her friend. it looked like they were about to kiss and she said and i quote "if people think this is wrong then what is the world coming to?" she's just giving an excuse for the things she has done. i know most of you parents out there won't like it if your daughter or son took pictures with their friends and it look like they were about to kiss so people open your eyes these are all just excuses to cover up for wha they are doing. but as for amanda bynes and raven these are the girls peopl should look up to i have yet to see or hear anything about these girls getting into trouble or doing somethings stupid. i give props to all who is going the right direction unlike brittney if there's something wrong go GET HELP. I'm 18 years old and have made an oath to my self not to do drug, drink or have sex until marriage. I don't see why everyone is so against Miley wanting to do the right thing even at her young age, she sees, like the rest of us, what drinking and drugs do to people like Brittany and Lindsey. Shes doing the right thing decided this now, because she will hopefully stick to and young girls will see that you can famous or something and not follow the crowd. As for Ashley, and Amanda, yes they are able to drink and have decided not to to which is showing girls that you can be older and still not ruin your life by drinking or doing drugs, or be young and decide you want a career like Miley. Taylor is doing a good thing by deciding that she wants to stay clean and not follow in Brittany or Lindseys footsteps even id she can't legally do either. And Raven is being a good role model by deciding that if she does go out that she will be in by a certin time, showing that if you choose to, you can make an okay desicion. Why don't you think about the diffrence these girls might make to the younger generation, and not hate them for making trying to make a diffrence. Why dont some of you get off your high horse and admit that these girls saying this will make a diffrence.

Just wondering why is miley famous? She is not very charming , charismatic or anything , she has no special talent or apeal which people are attracted 2 her. Little kids dont even care about her voice when she sings , as long as there are some movement and dancing , they are happy. I dont get it .
