Mary-Kate Olsen is striking out on her own with her first solo acting gig without twin sister Ashley. The actress, who plays a devoted Christian named Tara on Weeds, also goes it alone on the cover of October’s Harper’s Bazaar. The normally reserved 21-year-old opens up about her “white-trash hair” and her surprising nudist proclivities. Another spoiler: Despite the ubiquitous Starbucks cup in her hand, she doesn’t really drink enough caffeine to kill a family of four. Want more?

See interview excerpts below...

On how she spends her free time:
"I run around my house naked with heels all the time. It's so funny. All my friends will tell you I love running around in kimonos and jewelry or naked with jewelry."

On her return to blonde hair:
“I woke up one morning and was like, I want white-trash hair today.”

On her spreading style:
“Sometimes I’ll look at people or at a magazine and I’ll do a double take because I’m like, “Oh, my God, that’s my outfit, but that’s not me.”

On her oversized cups of coffee:
“I always get creamed for having my Starbucks cup. But the only time people get photos of me is when I’m getting coffee, when I can’t sneak away from the camera.”

On the tabloids’ portrayal of her and her sister, Ashley:
“They take photos of us going into our offices, and it’s ‘Mary-Kate and Ashley shopping again.’ But I’m going to work for eight hours, and we’re working so hard…It just shows how people want to think of you.”

On her many different images:
“I feel like I’ve lived 10 different lives already and I’m only 21…But I also feel like I’m entering a new chapter.”
