Marissa Jaret Winokur and her husband, King of the Hill writer Judah Miller, are expecting their first child, via a surrogate, her rep tells Usmagazine.com.
Winokur, 35, survived cervical cancer seven years ago.
She is currently competing on ABC's Dancing With the Stars. Last night, she scored 18 out of 30 for her cha-cha.
She is tracking her progress with a diary on Usmagazine.com.
God is an arsehole,he doesnt exist-next thing will be that Mary was a surro haha
I believe Marissa deserves to win. This is what it's all about. Someone who is happy, enjoying themself, beat cancer, trying to lose weight, doing something different with courage that they are not used to, learning something new, etc.
I like the other stars on the show, but many find it easier such as Olympic skating stars and football athletes. It is more difficult for others to learn this stuff, especially if you have never had any similar training or are not in tip top shape when you begin this dancing. It's not easy and everyone deserves credit for having the courage to go and do something new in front of millions of people.
Why do people have to be so mean, like kids in school, and make fun of others for being overweight, having a baby in a different way, their clothes, hair in their face, their costumes, and so much meaningless stuff? Be happy for others, pray for them, and treat people the way you would want to be treated. Concentrating on what someone looks like or wears is so childish and shallow. Everyone has gifts, skills, individual personalities, and dreams. What's inside is more important and God wants us to love others.
using a surrogate is like bein aprostitute, they need the money
You are one of my inspirations! Thank you for sharing your surrogacy story!
So happy for you and your husband! Yaaaay! Miracles really do happen!!
God Bless You!!!
Hey u aint gonna win
Ure too fat,n the guy needs a slimmer model
They only chose ya cos your a shortarsed dwarf,,,
Well congratulations on getting through round two.You both did really superb. You can see that your dance partner is with you one hundred percent ,and he says your a great person to dance with, which is true.
Bet your surrogate mum was watching you too, with a big smile on her face to, knowing that she has your precious baby on board.
Well done again on getting through-l rarely watch TV,am following you both every Friday now.Good luck!!
Surrogacy is a wonderful option for infertile couples and I, for one, am happy to see someone in the public eye proud to stand up and say they are using a surrogate!!! Good for her!!!! My husband and I are also expecting our first child via gestational surrogacy!!!
Surrogacy is a wonderful gift! Congratulations to Marissa and her husband on their upcoming birth. I look forward to the day when I can make the same announcement. Women are so lucky to have other women who are willing to help each other have a family. Not everyone can be blessed with perfect fertility and health.
First of all Congratulations on Marissa and Judah on being pregnant with there wonderfull surrogate.
The person that commented they didnt like the idea of surrogate mothers, and that they should adopt. You are obviously very narrow minded in your views, and do not understand surrogaccy at all.
You obviously have not had health problems like Cervical cancer, and this enables for some to make parenthood unlikely.
Marissa deserves every chance at Motherhood,as does Judah.
Bashing someone because they are not afraid to follow there hearts.
A big big mention for there Surrogate Mother[BIG HUGS TO YOU XX]
l wish them all good luck,in everything.
From intended parents that have a most wonderfull Surrogate Mother, whom is carrying our bundles.
Research things before posting negative comments, but as l say you are entiltled your narrow minded opinion
5:17 and 5:18 pm (anon and Chantal and Jennifer) are both shallow, petty tools. Ever think she's doing the show with the hope that she will lose weight like all the other contestants of previous seasons? She already lost a lot of weight when she had cancer so give the girl a break. Congrats to her and her husband!
I don't like the idea of surrogate mothers. Adoption is best in those kinds of cases.
First off congrats to her.Second why do people have to put other people down I think she looks beautiful the size she is.What kind of example are we setting for young girls or any women for that matter who look at this and see comments about her weight. She is a normal size girl.Sorry Chantel and Jessica but looking like a skeleton is not in.Curves are the new thing.
Congrats for her!! It's a great thing that she was able to beat the cancer and now to have a child of her own!! I think some people need to learn how to appreciate life more and not look at the small things! She's dancing maybe because she wants to change.. don't judge her just because of her body type!
I feel sorry for her dance partner to have to hold all those rolls in when she cha-cha's, she's too fat to do those dances.
Maybe all that dancing will thin out those fat legs and cankles of hers.
She is currently on Dancing W The Stars- but prior to this she had won a Tony for Hairspray I believe.
Not to be mean, but I have no idea who this is.
Congratulations goes out to Marissa Jaret Winkour & her husband, Judah Miller, on their impending arrival through a surrogate! I'm glad she beat cervical cancer seven years ago and is sill alive and well!
Congrats!! Its wonderful that surrogate mothers exist, that there are women who are willing to give such an incredible gift. No wonder she had a monster size smile during her performance last night. I hope she lasts on this seasons show- would love to see how she progresses. She is a great example of how fullfilling life can be after battling cancer- live life to the fullest. And to all surrogates out there- a big kudos to you!!
She's 35? I thought she was in her 20s. She looks so young.
