Mariah Carey

After years of struggling as a singer, Mariah Carey landed under the wing and romantic spell of Columbia Records producer Tommy Mottola, who launched her career in 1990. Her astronomical success as an R&B pop diva saw a crash after a psychiatric breakdown in 2001, but she staged a comeback with 2005's The Emancipation of Mimi. Carey married Mottola in 1993, but the couple divorced in 1998. After the split, Carey was together with New York Yankee Derek Jeter, and then singer Luis Miguel. In April 2008, the diva said "I do" to rapper/actor Nick Cannon.
